The terra ending about Kotarou needed to kill her and Kagari gave him a last kiss is too much unbearable for me.(Because Kagari shares the position of my Rewrite's most favorite heroine for me,the other one is Lucia, that scene is one of my saddest moment in the game)

p.s. Man, Key is surely putting a lot efforts to promote Shizuru crazily(even this time she is the one most in the front line). Why they cannot at least put some effort to promote Kagari just like others.

Lucia gets a big portion of the image on the teaser site too . The banner on Key's homepage which promotes harvest festival, has Lucia and Shizuru's portraits much bigger than the others too. Good sign for Lucia and Shizuru fans .

Lucia and Shizuru are the only VAs who have done 18+ work in the past, I'm thinking they purposefully picked 18+ VAs for them to leave the door open for a spinoff. So under my suspicions, they get to hit two birds with one stone by promoting them.

I can't believe they're trying to go for another blonde loli spin off so soon though. I would think blonde loli fans are still a little bit "blonde loli'ed" out after Kud Wafter.

Anyway, I'm so psyched for the fan disc. I feel like the 500 bucks I laid down on rewrite trading cards didn't go to waste :P (I got the Kagari super special, special and all her rares from the broccoli box ;;. Anyone know what the secret card was?). I'm ordering all of the Lucia character goods too. I think a spinoff is possible after the fan disc. Everyone who wants to see that spinoff, buy those Lucia goods! (Anything is good, there's like 5 dollar telephone straps! Not to mention 5 dollar shipping to go along with that, doh.)

I bought it along with the Kagari's one/Kagari Mini Tapestry and Dengeki's Festival No. Vol.21 (w Shizuru's Dakimakuru & Chihaya Chibi Figure) when I have been to Japan last few months. I also plan to collect more stuffs about this game, even the game itself (as Rewrite is the first VN that I had seriously played it all in Japanese language).

For the trading cards game, I also want to buy them someday but I may need to save up enough money first (I also hope Japanese Yen will be depreciated in next year, the exchange rate in my home country at this time is too sky-high T_T). However, at this moment, I'm looking forward to its Visual Fanbook


By the way, can anyone summarize me about the story in Moon/Terra route please. Some words are too difficult for me too understand. In addition, please give me the details about these questions in the 2 final routes.

Moon is the story for Moon's Kagari and Kotarou. Kotarou wakes up in this misterious world resembling Kazamatsuri. As if being drawn to her, he meets Kagari in that hill. He tries to comunicate and get close to her only to be killed by her over and over again. However, he is finally able to get some reaction from her once he speaks his own, sincere feelings.

Later, Kotarou finds out Kagari is writing the blueprint of a new world. A Theory of Life. Once complete this blueprint should ensure the existence of "life" forever.

During this time, he finds out about many other things: About Aurora, the source of life. About there being many other worlds and how all of them meet their absolute end and about how this one world and Kagari's Theory of Life are the very last chance "life" has to "get it right".

A Demon appears in the hill and attacks Kagari. Even though he is able to defeat it, Kotarou is confused with his own actions. He actually thought of letting Kagari die. He soon finds out why... The demons were sent by Kashima Sakura, her objetive is to kill Kagari and put an end to Life itself. Kotarou himself is a demon sent there by her yet, decides to defy her and protect Kagari. But, he can't do this alone. Using in own memories and knowledge as a base, he summons his friends.

Hundred, perhaps thousand of years pass. The Theory of Life is almost complete but, Kagari has reached her limit, she doesn't know what to do. As a mean to console her, Kotarou writes this seemingly insignificant promise "I will meet you again. Tennouji Kotarou". Upong seeing this, Kagari uses it on her theory and completes it.

Unable to understand why his existence is that important Kotarou realizes the truth about himself. He's actually older than everyone else, when he was saved by Kotori in the woods he entered a coma for around 10 years and his body stopping aging. Because of this, he can't meet with Kagari in time which leads to the ruin of the world.

Once this is revealed everything else it just battle. Kashima Sakura's Demon Army vs The Occult Research Club. Once by once, everyone is defeated but, it's alright since Life was already put in motion. A new world is about to be born and Kotarou finds out one last truth. The silver moon in the sky was actually a desolated Earth and the place he was in was actually the Moon. Moon's Kagari apologizes to Kotarou for not telling him the thruth. As he is carried away in the flow of Aurora he can only wish for someone reach the moon, meet with this lonely girl and free her from solitude for he will cease to be himself.

Terra is the story for Earth's Kagari.

Kotarou is part of some private army fighting some guerillas in south america. Along with his friend Luis and some others they encounter the enemy and for the first time in his life, Kotarou kills a human being...

Going to the past... We are shown that Kotarou attended many meetings with his parents at Gaia. He didn't like them... If fact, he didn't like his parents and due to his rather dark personality he didn't have any friends. This part also show us his meeting with Kotori, they didn't get along at all. In this world full of thigs he hated, Kotarou had only one way to vent his frutration... Hunting demons at night. One of these nights, Kotarou is saved by a group of men and meet Esaka for the first time.

He gets along with Esaka, his only friend and soon finds out about the existence of Guardian and superhumans. After thinking about it for sometime, he decides to leave his home and join Guardian. During his training Kotarou meet Nishikujou and Imamiya. Once the training is over, during the an assignment, Kotarou enters the woods and saves a small Akane from a hound demon and shortly after meets with Kagari and lets her go.

Feeling guilty for betraying Guardian, he ask Esaka to sent him somewhere else so he could grow stronger. Accepting his request, Kotarou is sent to private army affiliated with Guardian in South America.

It's been four years since then, Kotarou has gotten along with some of the local kids uncluding a girl by the name of Jasmine. During a mission for Guardian they have to destroy a Gaia facility for raising demons. However, those same kids he had gotten along with were the enemy... He and Luis decide to hide them and help them escape. During the process Luis dies. Kotarou manages to save the children and creates a small institution using the money from his missions to take care of the children and save other from both Gaia and Guardian.

Retuning to Japan, he meets again with Kagari in the hill. This time, Kagari is able to speak like a normal person and ask Kotarou for his assistance and in return she would give herself to him (). Kotarou decides to help her change the world and start and double agent game with Gaia and Guardian.

Time has passed... During this time, Kotarou found out about Kotori becoming a druid, he saved Akane and Inui from getting killed which greatly affected his progress in Gaia and earned distrust from Kagari. However, he doesn't give up... He manages to capture one of Gaia's leaders and hands him to Guardian. In the end, when his doings come to light, he fights his mentor, Esaka to dead, he kills Kotori's parents and free her from her destiny earning her hate, he saves Nishikujou and Imamiya and asks the former to search for Kotori and take care of her, he fights the T-Rex in Gaia HQ and defeats it only to find out Kashima Sakura is already dead, he finds out Kashima is planning to sacrifice all those in the shelter and goes to save them but, with the help of his parents and Inui is only able to save Akane to whom he gives a few demons to protect herself and tells her to look for a good person and ask for help. Yet, is all too tale, Kashima's choir acelerated Kagari's judgment so he's forced to kill her... Using her remaining power, Kagari seals Kotarou's life energy inside the nearby tree before he dies...

Sometime has passed... Just as planned, Jasmine had leaked all the information regarding Guardian, Gaia and their conflict and technologies to the world as well as what Kotarou did for the world. Nishikujou is shown with two children, Sizuru and Kotori. Shortly two more children appear from some rubble, Chihaya and Lucia, lead by third girl, Akane, who walks towards her and ask for help...

In a new Ice Age, thanks to the use of Aurora and Demon Contract humanity is able to continue living. Kotori and Co. use demon contract on the tree and Kotarou (Pochi) is born. Using his powers, Kotarou is able to travel outside the Earth, with only the five of them, he can only go as far as the Moon where they meet Moon's Kagari thus, Kotarou is able to keep his promise and meet with her again. Also, with Kotarou abilites, Humanity can now travel outside the Earth and spread life which was Kagari's real wish.

- Kotarou was sent there by Kashima Sakura.
- Everyone else was summoned there by Kotarou.
- Kashima Sakura is alive in another dimesion however she was able to infiltrate Moon's world and sent in her demons. No special meaning to Earth and the Moon other than a diferent Kagari resides in them.
- This is only a hypothesis. It's mentioned that Kazamatsuri has always been the one place Kagari's returns to when she is ready to unleash her ruin. Clearly, this place holds some important meaning for Kagari which is why it's not wonder it would also exist in Moon Kagari's world since she is the twin of Earth's Kagari.A more simple reason would be that it was just put there by the writers to prevent us readers from noticing it was actually the moon and not the earth.

You mean Moon and Terra...? Moon is the prologue for Terra. Terra can lead to the true end or the individual heroines routes, your choice.

That scene is the epilogue for Terra. It happens a few years later as explained in the summary above.

He said he can do more than just being a buttler for he girls. With his powers and enough life force he can travel far, far away. With only the five of them, he can make to the Moon.

That's exactly how I imagined her. Seein her sprite though, she looks like an ojousama rather than a tomboish girl.

Hope they add sprites to other characters such as Inui, Luis, Jasmine, etc.

Thanks johnishida, about your summary, I think my understanding about this game's story is about 70% similar to your spoiler.

By the way, I think my last unclear question is about my second question, about how each story connects to each other. Actually what I want to know might be actually be the timeline of the story.

Because of the Moon&Terra route, it gives me some confusion about the timeline for the overall story which happen first. Then what I understand at this time might be something like this

Common Route (03 Oct - 13 Nov) ----> Rewrite Route (Heroine Route in Different Dimension) ---> The End of Each Heroine Route ---> The World Meets Its End ---> Moon Route (Kotarou was summoned on the moon and fight the demon's army) ----> Terra Route ---> Meeting with Kagari (Decision below)

Decision
- If attack Kagari ---> Kotarou got into coma ---> 10 Years Skip, He lost memory, then living as normal students with his new persona --> Common Route (03 Oct) --> Loop
- If not attack Kagari ---> Terra Route (Continued) ---> True Ending

I'm not sure what I understand about the timeline is correct or not

Good pick, that one's probably my favorite tapestry behind http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10162209 (I just think her face is prettiest in that picture). I got her cushion, microfiber towels, bushiroad sleeves, card boxes, mobile cleaners I never intend to use (lol), the 8k tapestry, a pencil board in it's original plastic that I instead treat as a gigantic trading card in a sleeve, and probably other stuff I'm forgetting . I got at least one item of every unique image of her. I normally wouldn't buy all this, but it's easy to spend money on to support Rewrite and especially to get more Rewrite games. Having multiple items with the same image is kind of boring... but if the war effort demands it...

I at least got a few of the cards I want though... Seems like I got a misprinted Chibi Akane rare in my broccoli box, both sides of the card are just her chibi pic, there is no back... kind of strange.

From that little blog post, IIRC Yuuto says that there were parts of the story he wrote that he was was not totally satisfied with in the original and there were lots of parts that the writers wanted to rewrite. He thinks there will be a lot of "spin-off stories" too.

If there are no new heroines, I'm guessing we get something like the changes we saw to Kud's route in Ecstacy. The original plot will be explained in more detail and we'll have some alternative routes too.

Ah, I mainly chose it since I really liked the unique costume she's wearing versus usual school uniform. I wish I had more money to purchase more Lucia related goods like the ones you currently have. I guess I am satisfied with the magazines that have Lucia on the cover and the 2.5inch figure from one of the Dengeki Hime issues.

A surprise would be Maeda penning a mini-scenario involving some side-character or something else. For myself, I'd love some new music - even though I know there won't be as many to be made. Almost a month now and I still have Journey in my most played list.

The title Harvest Festa brings to my mind a possible central plot device involving the harvest festival (that always seems kind of glossed over in the main game) used as an excuse to show Kotarou and a girl hanging out.

I hope at least they should put the sprites for some important supporting character (e.g. Inoue, Inui, Takasako). The lack of those sprite is one of the flaws for the original game for me ()

For the scenario, I wish they will really go for "Mahou Shoujo Magical Creamy Kagarin" just like Kagari said in the Oppai Route-Prelude . I also hope Key will put more romantic scenes for each heroine (Some routes like Chihaya's really lack of these)

I personally believe that there are some problems with the "loop" theory. While it is stated that the Kagari has destroyed and revived the world multiple of times (as Sakuya said he was from the previous world in Chihaya's route), I don't think each world in these cycles are exactly the same. Balzac mentioned the main problem I have with the loop theory as that implies that the Sun and the Earth would be a whole lot older than we thought each loop (if this loop continued, the Sun may have died off since each loop spans hundreds of millions of years). I just think the story involves more on multiple universes branching off from Kotarou's actions and that the only loop that occurs once is at the end of Moon Route.

On the other hand, my friend completely believes in the loop theory so I'll explain his idea:

Humanity Begins ---> Events similar to beginning of Terra Route where Kotarou joins Guardian ---> Kotarou attacks Kagari ---> Kotarou enters a coma for about ten years ---> 5 Main Heroine Routes ---> World Ends (If Kagari fails/dies in the main routes, the next Kagari fulfills her role) ---> Loop

The loop continues until the Earth runs out of energy so Earth's Kagari just destroys it and can't revive it. ---> Moon's Kagari tries to find the theory of life ---> Moon Route (Moon's Kagari uses up the moon's energy to revive Earth and to give the humans one last chance) ---> Humanity Begins ---> Terra Route ---> Kotarou helps Kagari ---> True End.

If Kotarou attacks Kagari on Terra Route, the theory of life fails and the death of the planet is permanent.

My friend also said that Shizuru's route was the last loop before Moon Route since Kagari in that ending told Kotarou that another world similar to his will not appear again.

This should be the timeline for the loop theory. For the timeline I believe in, just remove the loop part and go straight to Moon Route. The worlds where Kagari doesn't destroy the world (Kotori's, Lucia's, Chihaya's route) just ends with humans using up the all Earth's energy and then dying because of their actions

For the fandisk, I hope that Kotarou is fully voiced and that we have a continuation to each of the heroines' ending. I felt that Kotori's route ended too soon and needs a proper conclusion. Yoshino should also get a bigger role in the side stories beside acting as Kotarou's rival.

This question has confused me for few months and I have no one sharing an idea with. (I'm not sure but I found no one in my country doing any review about Rewrite except me doing on my own. So it gives me a hard time finding the answer). So your and your friend's theory might not be 100% correct. Never mind, it gives more idea about something I have had in my mind. (At least it is almost similar to what I think). I hope Harvest Festa or its Visual Fanbook will be able to explain further about all mystery in this game.

By the way, rather than fandisk or spin-off, I also really hope Rewrite will be adapted into an Anime. Not only we will have a great Anime to watch, this might help me finding someone sharing an idea with when we come up with the spoiler thing. I already gave up waiting for Kyoani doing Little Busters! (they just came up with the plan and never really done it). I wish if Rewrite will be an Anime, WhiteFox will be the one who produce it (They did a good thing when they do Steins;Gate)

Does the full game still have that silly "We're scared of getting sued so no gaijin can play our games anymore!!1" issue? If so, does the workaround from the trial version still work? I'm obviously not wasting money on a game I can't play.

To your last question, there is a workaround patch for the full game, check back on the June/July posts on this thread (in a hurry myself so can't link it directly.

As for your first, depends on your perspective. Do you think Rin is the "main" girl in Little Busters!? Then probably, yes.

I agree with Balzac. Each person's main heroine should be based on that person perspective

For me, Kagari might be the heroine for the true ending, but someone might not acknowledge her as the main heroine (for me, the reason might be the her weaker relationship with Kotarou comparing to other heroine. I know she(Terra Kagari) loved Kotarou but didn't show any signs until the last scene of Terra). If we talked about this, Kotori might be the one who is suitable for main heroine.

However, in my opinion, at the first time when completing all 5 heroines route, I acknowledged Chihaya as the main heroine based on these reasons

Spoiler for Reasons:

- Chihaya route is the one with heroic theme, ideal actualization and brightest ending comparing to other routes
- Rewrite ability was explained in detail clearer in this route (I'm not sure about this because I already forgot whether Moon and Terra also explained about this)
- Kotarou had an access to most of his aurora energy using and Rewrite ability effectively thanks to the correct practice from Sakuya (However, I believe Kotarou is more powerful in Akane's Route. When he fighted and crushed Takasako with his aurora energy supported and when showing his Unlimited Aurora Blade Works - Resembled Style (I mean when he summoned a lot of his aurora blades to defeat enemy) when fighting T-Rex at the decisive battle with Akane )
- This route contains many epic fighting scene for Kotarou. Those when he was fighting against Midow, Shizuru and Nishikujo, Akane, and Sakuya-Demon Form.
- This route, for me, has the best conclusion between Gaia and Guardian since it ends with peace. (It gave me a lot of pressure when I knew that Kotarou and Chihaya might need to fight their old friends(Lucia,Shizuru), then when they need to fight against berserk Akane at the end of the route, but finally ended with a good term when everyone becomes friends again)
- If not count Moon Route, Chihaya route marks the highest number of other heroine apperances comparing to other route (except Kotori since she was gone from the beginning but then was mentioned at the epilogue)
- This route might marks the highest number for important supporting character (Nishikujo, Esaka, Sakuya, Giru and Pani) that has an impact to overall story for this game.
- This route is the only route that Midow served as one of the main antagonist. (Before this game released, I really thought that Midow might be the main antagonist for this game not only Chihaya Route, and I believe he is better to serve as antagonist comparing to Kashima Sakura or Takasako)

But again, when I completed Terra, I decided to acknowledge Kagari as main girl for Rewrite since she is the heroine in the true ending and her last scene with Kotarou really really gave an impact to me.

In summary for my opinion,
- Main Heroine (for me and someone): Kagari
- Main Heroine (for non-playing game and someone): Kotori
- Main Heroine (for me, excluding Kagari): Chihaya
