Can't be bothered to read all those discussions but I got the main problem: why Steins;Gate as romance show?

Truthfully for me Steins; Gate totally failed in romance department. It was very forced! Okabe and Kurisu were on friends terms for the biggest part of the show and then suddenly bam! We see them kissing 0_o
Seriously, how did this happen?

No offence to anyone but the only people who would consider it as good romance show would be Kurisu/Okabe supporters because their dream came true. And those supporters is a lot...

Ah well, we still don't know the winner^^

P.S. I'm surprised to see how much Steins; Gate is leading over all 0_0
Don't get me wrong, it was a good show but I really wouldn't choose it as best of the best especially in some specific categories...
