I updated the Series Overview section, because the translations for the volume titles were a little off.

* Volume 1 - Zero's Familiar / ゼロの使い魔 (removed "the", since Zero is a name)
* Volume 2 - Albion of Wind / 風のアルビオン ("Wind's Albion" doesn't make much sense)
* Volume 3 - The Founder's Prayer Book / 始祖の祈祷書
* Volume 4 - The Water Spirit of Oath / 誓約の水精霊 (the subject is "oath" not "water spirit")
* Volume 5 - Tristania's Holiday / トリスタニアの休日
* Volume 6 - The Flame Red Jewel of Redemption / 贖罪の炎赤玉 (probaby fits better)
* Volume 7 - The Silver Pentecost / 銀の降臨祭 (Pentecost... I suppose it works)
* Volume 8 - The Serenade of Nostalgia / 望郷の小夜曲 (The furigana said "serenade", thus the change)

Ruizu invoked the spell out of desperation and pure faith. She was about to be killed, and decided to bet everything on her irrational belief that she had not even fully convinced herself of: that saito was still alive.

After their reunion, she put him first by deciding that she would make her first priority heading east with saito to investigate ways for him to return to his own world. No longer would her first priority be gaining glory in the service of her country. She doesnt want saito to feel trapped with her because of his inability to leave harukeginia, and that represents some serious maturity from her. (she recognizes that unless saito chooses to *not* to return to his home planet in order to stay with her, she can never truely know how deep his love for her is )

Man, it would be real fun to have Ruizu visit saito's world though. hehe

Ruizu hasnt told saito this yet, I want to see how he reacts. ( He has decided to put protecting her before his desire to investigate ways home as well. )

As for his new power level: I cant wait to find out, hopefully at some point in volume 9.

One more thing: saitos mean chest comment at such a romatic moment was uncalled for.
He could have pinched his own cheek. It must be his latent love for S&M I guess.

The first picture:
Siesta and Ruizu finally found the little village in the woods where saito was staying. One of the children sees them coming, then warns Tifania, who then tells saito. Saito apparently asks tifania to help him pretend that she found him dead, so they put his hooded shirt thing on a rock that she tells siesta and ruizu is his gravestone. After siesta and tifania leave, she takes the shirt and starts holding and smelling it.

The second picture:
After they are reunited Ruizu breaks down and cries in his chest.

赤 can mean anything of a reddish color. It's the most common word used to describe red. While you can translate it as crimson if you want, it's probably more normal to translate it as the equally-common English word "red".

For crimson, I'd use 紅 (kurenai).

炎 means flame. (the more common "fire" would be 火)

玉 generally means something of a ball shape, or coin. In this case, it's used to refer to the ruby that appears in the volume. Ball doesn't make much sense, and ruby is too specific, so jewel.

As for atonement and redemption, they're pretty much synonyms, so I don't think anyone would mind either way. Personal preference maybe.

I was expecting something, probably along the lines of jealously towards Tifania/Aniesu or so on to lighten the mood.

Instead, Saito kicks her in her weak spot. I felt it was a bit too harsh. She is really self-conscious about her bust- to the point where she apologizes about it to him in her dreams. She seems to have a real weak sense of self-confidence in her body. Saito should be trying to instill her with confidence, imo, rather than kick her when she's down. (or at least admit he doesnt care about it)

Sure, saito knew he had to diffuse the buildup: Ruizu seemed to want to go all the way, and
Saito wasnt prepared to do that with Siesta and Tifania in the next room over. But his comment
really stung, even I felt bad for her when he said that.

I gave up using Ruiz because it says Louise everywhere in the official medias (anime OP, for example), even Yamaguchi-san himself confirmed in the afterwords of vol.3 that Louise's name and character came from Louise de la Vallière.

Similarly, Henrietta's character came from Henrietta Anne Stuart. Just like the novel, the real-life Louise and Henrietta also knew each other well and were about the same age. Henrietta married the Duke of Orléans, Philippe I, when she was 17, and Louise was her maid of honor. Something similiar to that occured in vol.3 of Zero no Tsukaima as well (except the actual marriage ^^; ).

As for the other character names, most of them are pretty self-explanatory, the names in the anime's OP is probably the standard that everyone uses.
