What surprised me was that Kakeru actually got hurt at the end there. I didn't think this anime was serious enough to entail blood coming out of the body. I mean, melon can blow him up every episode and leave him spotless. Yet one swipe cut through his waist!?

Perhaps it's like DearS or Chobbits where the artifical/not human chosen over the human one, but i think Najimi just more likable than Melon...the former shows had very likable main heroines...

I just want to point out that in chobits there really wasn't a choice, it was just hideki and chi, but from the way things are progressing its pretty obvious that hes gonna end up with melon. I know what you mean of like human versus non human but this series seems to be more about melon v najimi and a less about the fact that melon is not human. On the note that najimi is more likeable, I totally agree but the low production qualties of the show make it a chore to watch. I mean I never expected this to be some amazing saga, so I take it for what it is, and for now its a pretty fun watch. Kakeru really should die for making najimi cry like that but hey thats just my opinion.

Pretty much...She was overly emotional feeling betrayed at the time and unfortunately had something nearby to use to hurt him and make him feel the pain she was feeling at the time...One of those situations where if there hadn't been such a weapon at her disposal she just woulda walked away and cried her eyes out...

I am amazed that their advancing a plot so early on now...Most of these types of shows don't start until around episode 8-10 where they don't really have to care about any enduring impact just a nice tidy ending, so I'm interested to see how things that are happening now will affect the characters for the rest of the show.

well i for one am happy for the fast pace meaning there will be more action later one lets get with the lovey dovey part and after taht the action and comedy and mor action and did i say comedy then romance again etc etc

Yeah... Right... Well, the good thing is that the episode didn't take itself seriously, so there was a decent amount of stuff to laugh at. Unfortunately, that just means the whole event was as emotionally moving as watching turtles move.
Yeah... Well, as a comedy, it was fun (like Melon's stupid attack names or that mario cart), in seriousness, I want to punch the writer. And there were some scenes that weren't supposed to be funny but turned out as odd as Toaru Majutsu no Index's serious scenes.

So in the end, the whole battle between Yell and Melon is stopped by the most moving scene in the world (sarcasm full) and we get an ED that was like a final episode, which, unfortunately, it isn't.

Overall, I enjoyed it to an extent, but to some point somewhere, I'm also a bit irritated or just want to shake my head at the whole thing...

-Najimi... She really just does what she wants, doesn't she... is how I've started to feel. Sending Yell at Takeru and then crying over Yell attacking Takeru, telling Yell to leave and then taking her back only to make her leave once more and trying to stop her when she actually does leave... (-_-)
Though she's still the best character around.

-As expected of anime, Takeru manages to survive that bad wound despite being treated by some amateru who leaves him on his own

-Melon... why break the window...

-Why is the stadium moving and lights on...

-Yep, just like Yell said, Takeru is scum... Otta kick him in his wound again...

Finally the next episode is going to be something interesting when Yell and Melon fights.

Starting with a love triangle, not a bad storyline after all.

I think Kakeru won't consider her as a woman even after ep 6...perhaps i hope i will be wrong...(there's a slight indication where Kakeru emberasses seeing Najimi somewhat revealed...so there's still hope for a real triangle...)

So, basically, nothing happened. Well, at the very least it seems it'll be fun, which is why I'm watching this show.

Episode six pretty much diffused the potential to see any tension building episode for a triangle that could've come out in the future. Kakeru pretty much tells Najimi when she asks,

that if he likes Melon. Kakeru replies that he likes Melon just as much he likes Najimi. They are both his Nakama. Najimi accepts, and monir bangs head on wall. He also tell Melon and El that they are more than just a pair of unwanted cans and that their owners do love them.

In the end, the episode wasn't half bad aside for the fact that the ridiculous concept this show is based on. Next week's episode is about playing baseball. The jury is still out on when will the Kabadi episode feature. Here is wiki article on Kabadi just because......, yes, I can.

I know we've seen Kakeru/Melon and Najimi/Yell's kissing/transformation sequences a few times (also, a nice opportunity for stock footage), but we never have (and never will) see Misaki/Budoko's, though it's presumably done the same way. Just something to think about.
