Nice to see that Sonya doesn't really hate Yasuna and would still consider her to be her friend, letting even a job slide for her. Agiri is still the hardest person to read, as you never can tell if she's being serious or just plain trolling. And though the unused character never got that much screentime, she complemented the cast quite well.
Though some jokes didn't really deliver as well as I would have liked, overall, the show was quite enjoyable. 8/10

Felt fresh in the beginning, but got repetitive midway, nonetheless it was short and enjoyable to watch; character alchemy worked fine, but the jokes were hit and miss. Designs, art, animation, music, and plot/development were abysmal of course, but like KyoAni (the master of 4-coma adaptions), I was not expecting anything more on those departments
6/10, enjoyable waste of 20 minutes per week |

I will miss this show immensely...almost heartbreakingly, actually. It didn't grab me straight from the start, but the degree of affection I feel for the characters of this series now is astonishing. I actually feel a sort of existential crisis in the idea that I might forget them someday. It's the passing of short, somewhat obscure, but infinitely lovable series like this that really make me feel aware of the transience of things and the passing of time.
In any case, in the (presumed) absence of any further seasons/episodes, I'll be leaving this series somewhere in my archives. Maybe in a couple years I can stumble across it again and reminisce. To send this series off, here's a link to my favourite song from the character CDs, plus lyrics: |

It was a wacky and entertaining show, although I like it much better when Sonya is the one trolling and Yasuna on the receiving instead of vice versa.

If you recall, Sonya can get pretty careless at times. Such as like in the previous episode, where she forgot to put on a bullet-proof vest. You'd think one would notice that, but it took a punch to the gut from Yasuna to make her realize something was wrong. Were this a real target she'd be facing, she'd probably be dead if she hadn't figured this mistake out by then. I'd say Yasuna is doing her a HUGE favor by getting in her way all the time.

Ran across the most amazing news just now.
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...for-2nd-season It's not a confirmation, just a possibility, but I would not have even imagined this based on the BD sales. Hope it pulls through. |
