I just went ahead a bought a cell phone that allows me to create my own ringtones with mp3s. Then, whatever OST's I have, I can upload whatever song I want onto my phone, and create a ringtone with it. I don't actually have any anime ringtones right now (I have Zepplin, Flyod and NIN), but I have Bebop/Naruto/Wolf's Rain/Champloo/.hack OST's, so I could theoretically have a lot. Most cells have this option now, that's the best way to go.

I tend to just use the full mp3 song that I downloaded from youtube through a conversion.
