Wow, that trailer is incredible. I'm really looking forward to this anime series/maybe movie.

• Everybody has changed so much during the time skip, especially Kenji!?
• It looks like everybody is sporting either longer or shorter hair - Especially Kazuki who has even more shorter hair now and Maya who has slightly grown hers out.
• I also wonder who the new guy is?
• What happened to Miwa- she looks exactly like Rina (or at least I think it's her); and
• I'm guessing this series is about Soshi reclaiming his homeland and figuring out who he is (because he has reincarnation issues maybe).

Subs are out and the first episode confused me. Did I miss something? How the heck did that happen? Is there some ova in between this and the exodus last episode?

I just finished the 3 episodes and I was... WTF!?

I didn't recognize Maya's character at first at all with how hard her personality is. Its feels that it connects on how exodus ended but this really is something else.

Then Soushi being caught and brainwashed/stockholmsyndrome/raised as a child that live with the festum, heck Kazuki looks like a villain there in episode 2 when he goes and kills that festum in front of his eyes. in his eyes/pov the island people are the enemy. kazuki didn't explain anything, they don't have time but man, that's just sad.

Plus that traitor. Who is he? I don't remember him from previews series. A new character? he takes 3 kids with him but Soushi is the only one yet shown in the first 3 episodes.

I really feel that this is better as a series than ova/movie. its feels rushed.

Felt quite natural for me. It was not just the ending, it was all through the second half of Exodus. Maya is consistently shown not wanting to kill anyone but not flinching away when she had to do it. Extreme determination.

While not clear, remember what Kurusu said: he will not die, but his heart will erode. It seems to me he has lost significant part of his humanity.

Really interested in his motivation. "Forget this cruel world and just live." It is like he wants to save those children. Maybe he is father of the girl? Groundwork for big revelation being laid down here.

I had to re-watch it like 3 times and later 2 times with subs before it started to make sense to me. Watching it in theater had to be a nightmare
