I’m a Gundam fan (and a mecha fan in general). So I’m more than use to watching series within 30-50+ episode range (split, one-go, you name it). But the pace of Itsuwari still feel sluggish to me. To add insult to injury, they spent a considerable time for tired BL-joke in almost every episode since our MCs arrived at Yamato.

Well, considering there is only half year between end of this anime series and the next game release, perhaps we can say it's a split 4 cour? No news about the 3rd series for the time being though.
Feeling slow is another matter. There are a lot things being cut out that make more feeling of progress and hinting other layers of the story while the main plot builds up. Quote:
