Which of the 3 sannins is strongest?

I think that Oro is the strongest because Jiraiya n Tsunade couldn't even kill him 2gether but this is just wat I think. I wanna c wat u guys have 2 say.

I believe Jiraiya is the strongest. The 2v1 fight was not a good measure, because Jiraiya was drugged up by the greatest medical specialist alive. Given that Itachi beat up on Oro, and then he ran from Jiraiya, I suspect that Jiraiya is far more powerful than he has ever demonstrated. Come on, he was able to summon Gamabunta while completely drugged out. Furthermore, he was able to survive 4-tailed Kyuubi on his own, without backup, while being caugh unawares (he would never have expected Naruto to go all out on him). Oro, on the other hand, was losing his fight until Yamato stepped in, and he knew Naruto was his opponent from the beginning. Finally, I believe that, according to the central themes of the manga, Orochimaru's growth slowed or even halted after he began his pursuit of power by any means simply for power's sake. Jiraiya, on the other hand, continued to grow in his own way and held in his heart that which was important to him. That was over ten years ago, so consider the drastic change in the balance of power between them...

At one point Itachi and Kisame exchange words after meeting Naruto and Jiraiya at the inn. They said something along the lines that they would rather not fight him as the three of them would die in the battle or just Itachi and Kisame would end up dead so they didnt want to take the risk, also that Jaraiya's name makes them look like peasants when compared.

Hmm that was quick. Wat u said wants 2 make me change my mind but... Wasnt Jiraiya awake half of the time at that match? Btw at the Itachi part I dun remember him using a single genjutsu at Jiraiya. If not it might turn out different XD

You know I just re-watched that fight the other day and I always wonder why they let these nins get away. Kabuto and Oro just stand there slowly disappearing, and everyone just watches. Tsunade to be fair was out of stamina at that point, but jiraya could have done something.. Gambunta was there why didn't he do something, Shizune was there.. she coulda done something. But no.. they all watch as the bad guy vanish.

The same thing happened just a few chapters ago with Kabuto and Naruto and Yamato. Kabuto just vanishes.

Has there been any reasons given as to why sometimes nins can vanish without a trace? (like how Kisame and Itachi just escaped the leaf village with no problems).

Oh yeah sorry for getting side tracked. Imo its a rock-paper-scissors between the 3 of them. Jiraya seems to be the most balanced however. Orichimaru probably can pwn Jiraya but Tsunade can probably pwn Orichimaru with her Genisis Regeneration Jutsu. And Jiraya can probably pwn Tsunade with his Toad smns.

I think it was Orochimaru that said only the Sannins can do the seal so not only Jiraiya can lol.

Plus.. The anime weakened Tsunade by a lot and to be honest, Tsunade only fought those few episodes so not really a good measurement of who's stronger.

Yes this a very good way 2 think of it... Hmmmm well 3rd didn't keep the soul of the 4th so... Maybe its still possible 4 Oro 2 summon him again

Well i can still think of a possible counter. For one, he can just use the frog stomach summoning and devour both of them. but yeah, its true i guess. Would Bunta be better than Enma in those situations?

I found something to be inconsistent.. when Kabuto used the chakra scapel to mess with Tsunade's muscles, he only hit her right arm and left leg.. but then why doesn't she use her left arm to punch Kabuto? But.. does it with Orochimaru, and supposedly in the anime, it was the final blow that finished Oro.

Also, she is able to use Gamabunta's sword lol.

They were talking about Kyuubi (Naruto in this case). If Naruto were to use Kyuubi chakra, it might've overwhelmed them. Note that one of them also said, "..and also his caretaker is one of the legendary sannin."

Take those comments to the thread that they're relevant to. I'll say it once for the benefit of this thread, and people can believe what they want, but they were definately talking about Jiraiya. The translation is sketchy because they changed the subject of their sentences half way through their discussion.

we all know that if it would have been for kabutos ass Oro would have gotten his ass beat. Also he would not have been able to summon Manda either.

In a one on one fight Tsunade is prolly the strongest. She has medical jutsu to heal herself, she regenerates, And she only needs to hit you once to beat you.

J Dawg is tight! I like his perverted style. In acutallity thou he's prolly got the most Powerful jutsu and biggest chakra pool. I'm surprised he doesn't use rasengan more often. But he summons frogs as physical backup so he can unleash with jutsu. A nice combo.

Oro's pretty sneaky with poison and surprise jutsu, but I haven't actually seen him fight for real. Even against the 3rd, if it was one on one it looked like he would have lost pretty hard. Pluss his snakes aren't really that good against frogs or even jirya himself. Manda's out cuz he would pitch a fit if he was just comming out to take out one ninja.

there all kinda weak because the 3rd could beat oro but tsun and jiray couldnt togeter so they all are to weak for life.
