Ep 04
Whoa. Hina can sing! Wow. Was not expecting that. And the advisor is 9 years old? Well, I guess that explains why she is so short.... Anyhoo, another light hearted and enjoyable episode. ^^

Sometimes singing is perceived differently in things like this, so a person who is too nervous to talk can sing clearly. She is definitely impressive. She should look into focusing on that.

Well. Anyway, it looks like Hinako has landed right into the hot seat for sure. A heroine role while she's still just trying to get a grasp of the basics and overcome her crippling nervousness. It does occur to me, though that if she can work herself into her frozen state just by imagining that she's part of a real performance, shouldn't it technically be possible for her to do the reverse, and perform without trouble by imagining that no one is watching her? Much much much easier said than done, I realize. In other news, is it just me or is Chiaki rather quickly turning the rest of the main cast into her harem? Pretty much everyone except Ku-chan is showing signs of infatuation with her.

If it wasn't bad enough that the series used unpaid, forced child slave labor as a supposedly comic way to create Hinako's personality "quirk," now they are sexualizing a 9-year old girl to appeal to the sicko pedophiles in the audience. Disgusting. I'm out.

Yeah, this anime season disturbs me (a little). First, there is a lewder than usual 14 years old exhibitionist, a cute and a bit lewd 12 years old sister, and here, a 9 years old teacher/advisor that is more developed than the former two combined.

AHHHHHH, Hinako! I'm so happy for her! She's a pretty sweet singer!
The scene with the "come here~!" was also pretty funny. I also laughed at the advisor and the reveal of her age. I think this is all some elaborate ruse, and we're being played. She's either faking her age or she's wearing pads. At any rate, it looks like she definitely triggered some people lmao. |

Really enjoyed this one. First 2 episodes were a bit boring, but the pace is starting to pick up. I'm liking libarary girl's character design, she's like a grown up Konata (from Lucky Star) ":3 = moe". Surprised that Hinako can sing so well. She will also probably overcome her shyness as the episodes go on. Working at the cafe should help her little by little in getting used to people. _______ *eagerly waiting for next week's ep...

I really thought that Ruriko would set up some special practices for Hinako, given her lack of experience, her stage fright, and the fact that Ruriko had unexpectedly dropped the heroine role on her. But instead, after three weeks of Hinako not getting it in normal practice, it all came down to her friends having to come up with some intense practice for her in their personal time, barely a week before the play is supposed to be performed.
Now, look, I like Hinako and all, but giving her a week to overcome all her problems sufficiently to play the role of heroine... that's cutting it tight for anyone. I'm not sure this play of theirs is going to turn out well. At least it feels like Yua has been properly won over this time. Whatever else she might say, she can't deny that Hinako really is trying hard to overcome her issues. Also some Chiaki fanservice this week. Including an impressive endcard:

Hmm, enjoyed this one. Yua is a good person after all.. still helped Hinako to practice even if she's jealous on several things. And also the fanservice is through the roof in this episode. Hinako sweating in practice clothes.. and Chiaki doing those animal poses. O___O Oh, and I'm liking both the opening and ending songs.. they're so cheerful and alive - wakes me up on the sleepy parts of the day. --- looking forward to next week

Ep 06
Okay ... the "Thus spake Zarathustra" movement on the kazoos when the cultural festival cream of the crop was being lauded by Kuina had me in stitches the first time it popped up. XD

Of course she tried out everything from every stall before getting the best stuff to bring back and share with her friends... and then take them with her to the best of the class-run restaurants (which she had also tried out all of). There must be some sort of inter-dimensional portal in her stomach: no matter how much food is shoved in it never gets full.

Thought that things at the play would get messed up, but Hinako did a really good job. I guess all that practicing paid off. Getting invited to showbiz right away... many people would grab that chance!! Of course, it's probably better to get a bit more experience first. This is now my favorite among all the anime that I'm following. Looking forward to next week.
