OMG, I love this episode. It is so freaking funny! Especially that "scene" that people will probably think is beautiful.
The new characters introduced in this episode were okay and actually pretty funny. It's a shame this episode came out when it did, because another anime (the other nonsensical Fall show that I'm watching) already did the "weird mom" thing about two weeks ago, and did it a lot better in my opinion. As for the jokes in this episode, they were actually pretty good, but I laughed the most at the "fireworks" scene. So freaking funny that scene was (I'm sure it was unintentional), and I just love playing Katy Perry over that scene. Now, I know that people will probably complain that Shu is now a tool of Gai and whatnot, but who the hell cares? The first arc was messy to begin with and wasn't campy enough. This episode was campy as hell. Hopefully, the show will be more consistent from here on out, as I assume the first arc was what the creators meant when they said they wanted to get the cliches out of the way (you know there's a more exciting and coherent way of doing that, right?) That does make me wonder though, what exactly is Funeral Parlor fighting for? What exactly would happen if GHQ left? Do they have countermeasures for that disease going around or something? Also, where the hell do you watch the episode previews on the site? I still can't find them. Oh, and I should point out that yes, there were quite a few stupid moments in the show. Shu can't lay low worth crap, the new bad guy is a football coach, and it was never established that Gai met Arisa before the boat part of the episode (for the plan to work, Gai was either taking a big risk, or he would have had to have seen Arisa before he conducted the boat plan). And yes, I think a bunch of the stuff I laughed at weren't intentionally funny.

Oh shi-
Did Shu just raise another flag? If Ayase ever gets onboard, then we've got a small harem..... Andwaitaminute. So after the whole incident in episode 5 where Inori told him to stay away and Shu started calling Inori -san again in episode 6, not only is Inori still living in Shu's place but Shu is back to calling her normally??? What the @#$%* is going on?!

The whole incident is resolved as soon as Shu started helping/idolizing Gai. If Shu's happy with Gai, Inori's happy with Shu. If Inori's happy with Shu, Shu's happy. Also lol @ the preorder ranking rebound. The ranking sank so bloody low after the disaster that was the previous episode to right now. 322-> ~140/130 something. As long as the anime's not serious, I think it's winning. |

Missed this one. No, I meant Shu (but Gai may have at the end too) Shu's classmate, near the beginning of the episode, when they're in the abandoned building.
Spoiler for Episode 7:
And where are you guys getting the next episode previews? They aren't on any of the episode version I find. I didn't mean Arisa. I mean the Shu's classmate. (read above in this post) (don't remember her name though, if it was said in this episode at all)

The idea of them both being back at school is a far bigger problem that we just have to accept and enjoy. And only at the end do we see how much "Haruka" (not "Mother"?) knows, which explains how she can so easily accept Inori. In any case, I had a wonderful time watching ep7. It's the feelings and intentions and natures (and appearance) of the characters that I enjoyed. Shu. Gai. Inori. Haruka. Arisa. Hare (the girl at school who likes Shu). Segai. All good. And the party at sea (it's an anime meme, isn't it?) was crisply done. Endou Aya is one of my favorite voices. Quote:

Finally Shu not crying or running away. The american dude was funny. So were the rest of GHQ. Liked the new characters and some of the school ones. Gai was amusing to watch. Inori... was totally annoying, but whatever. Nevah!! >:D

Ookouchi Ichirou wrote the Code Geass and Yoshino Hiroyuki assisted him with it, now Yoshino Hiroyuki writes Guilty Crown and Ookouchi Ichirou assisting.
But this time he wrote the whole script for this episode (Yoshino Hiroyuki wrote all for the previous). |

I rather liked this episode a lot more than the others.
What's good about this episode is that they didn't make it good by adding fancy music or impressive action scenes. They made it good by giving people what they've been waiting for and that is for Shu to finally accept what he's doing and to accept Gai. Shu didn't question Gai for suddenly asking him to come a mission, and he trusted Gai enough to know that he would save the ship and even asked for orders from him. In the end, they both managed to save everyone without argueing or fighting etc. And it was a step forward for Shu since near the end he admitted that for once, he was glad he could take people's voids. He also didn't run or hide, he manned up like people wanted him to and used his powers wisely. Shu catching Gai by surprise with the tag in was quite amusing :P Who knew Gai had his own unique way of being a charmer. But, as others have said, I do agree that the whole "Inori and Shu are suddenly friends again and everything was forgotten" is a minor problem that was brought up in this episode. On a side note...Shu, you are one lucky bastard to have a mother like that
