My guess is that its in the future since both megs kids and the cop are there plus megs hair is brown not black like it was in the past.
At least i hope it takes place in the future.

Hmm says Jo is 17 in this and Meg is 15...I can't remember but I think she was 18 in Burst Angel right? So this must be a past chapter.

Wiki says that at the time of the tv show jo is 17 meg is 15
and as for megs boob size IIRC they changed size regulaly during the show

After about a year or two of pending expectations and delay, the long-promised OVA has arrived.

I have to say that the animation is slightly high than that of the TV series. The story itself of the OVA was not something of a breakthrough, but it was pure cheesy entertainment, nonetheless.

The OVA demonstrates why is it that Jo is the HELL Queen with Guns and Red Wings.

This is a single OVA which lasts for about twenty-five minutes and is a standalone episode.

For those who thought the OVA would be a follow-up or sequel that may or not give answers and closure to the big plot holes that the TV series failed to address, then several of you are going to be dissapointed.

The OVA in fact is a prequel before the start of the main storyline.

Badass Meg, hell yeah!!!! This is exactly what I wanted; a sequel to the tv series with a tough Meg ready to kick everybody's asses ^^. And she looks damn sexy with that outfit.

BTW, is this "Special 3" OVA already licensed?

Why did they put in the the Sequel starting for this Prequel?

Of course I did like watch Meg being badass and all but they forgot to Paint Jango Red. He was silver in the opening. Though Amy doesn't look as much as a Loli now. And I wonder who the leader is, didn't the last one bite it with Jo?

Got a chance to watch the OVA last night. I liked it but I'm sort of pissed off that this was all there was. Hell, they could have included this as another episodes. I wonder if they plan on continuing the story? Considering they've been tagging it as the 'BakuTen Project'. Oh yeah, and considering that 'Meg' is supposed to be 15, just what happen? Did her boobs just grow overnight by the time we got to the TV series?

I can't believe I woke up this morning pissed at 'Gonzo' for this. I really want to smack them now. It took them freaking 3 years to get around this THIS?

Sigh,

This one has come and gone, and not a peep from the AS community.
Episode in English was nice, but a single episode for the price was not worth it.

It was also sad seeing the BA2 OP and finding out that it is a special edition character design, that means no BA2 at this time. /sigh.

The AX special edition episode was also nice, had a few scenes that I didn't see before.

I didn't watch the 24 episode montage so I have no idea on how that went.

What made up the 118 mins special feature things? Don't think the DVD is out where I live yet, might get it when it does, wasn't a bad OVA.

The trailer or whatever is of a second series looks like it could be so good, it's almost teasing.

The OVA in fact is a prequel before the start of the main storyline. Spoiler: It takes place at Manhattan with Meg and Jo as the protagonists just before both moved in to Japan. Jo still had her hair long to waist length, but Meg already had dyed her hair red. My comments on the wardrobe designed for Meg and Jo. Honestly, Meg's new wardrobe for the OVA consists of a jumpsuit without sleeves; a pair of khakis that run up to the knees; and she wears a familiar, long and yellow scarf. I like this wardrobe than the cowgirl outfit she wears in the TV series, since it makes her hot. On the other hand, Jo wears a black tank-top with long pants and a red poncho. To make a long story short I am giving a brief summary about the OVA's storyline. Spoiler: The Infinity OVA takes place just a month or two after the events of episode 14, which it was the flashback episode when Meg and her gang of orphans met Jo. There is this loony and putrid sicko who unleashes a human-sized cybot to kill innocent bystanders and tape on live-video the victim's final moments. The bastard made a big mistake on letting loose his cybot to attack Sherry, the brown and mute, little girl of Meg's former gang. Although Sherry by luck managed to survive, she's struggling for her very life at intensive care. Meg learned of the news from Sam, the inspector who adopted and became the children's foster parent at the end of episode fourteen, and she becomes too imperially pissed-off that vows to blow the guts of the fucking loser for what he did to Sherry. After a night run-in with the cybot, Meg is captured and taken to a rundown warehouse. Jo follows pursuit and saved her distressed princess, however, maniac dude rigged the entire place with explosives and blew th whole place to the fifth hell. Fortunately, Meg and Jo managed to escape into the sewers but are given chase by the cybot who morphed into a messed-up form of a velocirraptor and mantis with a FUGLY looking face. Both girls eventually climbed their way out of the sewers to a high place with the raptor-mantis cybot in pursuit. The cybot sneaks behind Jo and cuts her hair giving Jo her current look that she has in the series. Jo looses balance and falls into her seemingly death. Sicko perv is riding a helicopter while taping on-live video what looks like Meg's final moments (ain't he, disgusting? ). Just like in the TV series, Meg cannot help but to stick to the role of the crying princess who pleads to her big sister Jo to come and save her. And to effect her prays bear fruit, as the camera zooms to Jo who miraculously survived her fall and managed to climb to an even higher place. She makes for a furious dive piercing the cybot's neck with a blowpipe. Meg in turn snaps with tears of rage and shoots straight to the fucker. The awesome effect was that the bullet literally passed through the camera, as sicko dude was filming and subsequently the bullet made a hole through the perv's left eye, killing him instantly. A few days later, Sherry makes a full recovery and is visited by Sam who delivers her a gift. The gift turns out to be a cute, blondie doll with angels' wings. Sam tells Sherry that the present came from an angel that she knows. Aboard a transpacific ship, Meg and Jo leave America and head for their next destination. Jo is now wearing her trademark, red leather jacket of the TV series and to finish adding touches, Meg gives her as a present her long scarf, which turns out to be the trademark scarf that Jo wears in the TV series. The End. Credits start to roll. The ending shows recap footage and images exclusively from episode 14. The episode when Meg and Jo first met.

Spoiler: I was hoping for more continuation of the story or maybe a prequel to explain about Jo's past. But this ep is just like a typical Baku Ten ep. Some bad guy kidnaps Meg, Jo kicks some ass and saves her. Are there going to be any more eps to this OVA, or is this one ep only?
