I guess I'm just a fan of the old stuff so I'm a bit sad that the old intro song isn't with us. I loved the remastered animation of the intro though, as for the episode, it's a better quality but nothing else to add because we already watched it years back. I'll look forward to more additions in later episodes. The only thing I really didn't like so far is the new background music.

This episode was very well paced. It covered two manga chapters and it could've covered more material (perhaps a third chapter) if it wasn't for the Bardock and DragonBall flashbacks (they pretty much took up a good five minutes). I really enjoyed it, and the new soundtrack is freaking awesome. Kenji Yamamoto rules.

Gosh, I originally watched DBZ in english dubs, so these Japanese ones kind of irk me. I will get used to them eventually, but I simply used to adore the dubbed voices of the english one as a kid. Though I bet if I rewatched the english dubs now, I would not like it as much.
Good first episode, DBZ will entertain me again once more in my young life...

Just finished watching the first episode and I am definetely impressed. The pacing is freakin amazing, the music is awesome, the voicing is alot more clear (goku's voice doesn't sound as raspy/whiney), it's in freakin HD! I could go on and on but the bottomline is if you are a fan of the original then this is a must-see!

Well it was a good start and it definitely looked nice. Really has been a while since I saw this part of the show so should be fun. Definitely have to get used to the original voices since this was one of the first series I saw dubbed.
Can't say I feel that bad for Krillin. You go talking down to a person who just flew in out of nowhere and your bound to get hurt. Never underestimate the unknown .

There are ways around it, but it costs a lot of money, especially for something this long. I guess that wasn't part of their budget.
