^^ i think the author said that he was originally gonna make daiya the mc but it ended up being kazuki and kazuki is crazy now ): happy ending ruined

He did mention that the character Daiya fascinates him and he wanted to write a story with him as the main character in it. However, I don't think he mentioned anything about hating Kazuki. That I can recall anyway.

Yeah, Mikage only said that Daiya is much easier to write than Kazuki, iirc. Personally, I didn't really like the Daiya chapters.

Also, I for one love how Kazuki "evolved" in the recent volumes -- it's fun to watch how Maria's box slowly drives him crazy and messes with his personality.

I've read the whole of 5 volumes of this LN in a week. It's very intriguing. Does anyone know when the last volume will be out? I quite like Daya but I prefer it before the last volume...

The interesting thing is that Kazuki hasn't "evolved" exactly. Actually, he was insane from even before the series starts, back when he is chosen by Maria. His character hasn't changed much actually, it's just that his priorities have changed.
Suddenly, all of his actions from volume 1 come up in a new light and you're forced to re-evaluate your opinion of Kazuki.

Been a while since I read this but none of his actions volume 1-3 have striked me as insane.

It isn't until volume 4 starts that his character starts morphing due to Marie fetish.

I think I can agree about the "not changing" part. Kazushi seemed to me stubborn from the start and its relationship with his supposed closed friends quite "detached". Now his priorities are changed (No more "everyday life" but only "Maria").
I'm not sure about the insanity part, maybe he's going to seem insane because he focalize only on one person willing to throw his supposed (dear)friends if needed, but as I already said his friendship seemed to me quite lukewarm from the start.

Not sure if it is truth, but it definitely sound like bad idea. How many episode would Clasroom and Game take? And how many people would have patience wait for conclusion?

There is lot of stuff that would be hard transfer to anime. Only way I would have my hopes up is if it was done by SHAFT...

I doubt there will be an anime adaption at all, let alone in the next season.

I'm not sure if it's that chart because I saw it surfing in the web, but it could be that. Anyway sorry for the incorrect information.
About the fact that a not completed manga or novel could get a anime adaptation, well there are a lot of examples.The really irritating thing (aside some adaptations) is that sometimes there is only one season even when the novel/manga is completed...

@Tenzen12 In fact bad/misleading adaptations do exist

By the way I've learned a new thing: there are also fake charts...

I'm more worried about the writing and directing. I thought it was impossible to animate after reading Vol 1, and with all the additional revelations later on...

The animation itself wouldn't need to be anything extraordinary if the director is doing his job. Though I certainly wouldn't mind the eye-candy...

I think Shaft is the most suited to adapt Hakomari. This is not your regular LN.
Eiji Mikage is a genius. I loved the battle of wits between Kazuki and Daiya.
Loved Kazuki's development - although I'm not too sure if it should be considered development, but his dedication to Maria is admirable. I hope this does not end in tragedy. His insanity might lead to his downfall.
