I marginally support them as a couple, although Nao's arc is my least favorite. The story isn't compelling, her personality is blah, I don't like glasses girls, and big tits are good only up to a point.
The best thing their relationship has done is to highlight how insufferable Sora can be. Last edited by sikvod00; 2010-11-24 at 03:42. |

I am finding that this arc is a bit harder to enjoy, I guess, for the tenser atmosphere. Nao has done wrong in the past and feels guilty for it now, but I find her demeanor frustrating and annoying. Sora is acting extremely like a spoiled child and emo b***h. It is hard to feel an emotion attachment to either character right now.
I hope the final arc with Sora will be better. Her moody deamor makes me feel down, too. So it looks like there won't be a Kozue arc, even though I really like her character design. It's a shame, since I bet I would like her a lot (and more than this current arc).

Sora isn't being "insufferable"- it's just that she's been confined to a hospital most of her life, is still physically weak (heh doesn't affect her in be*), can't do much for herself at series start so depends on Haru, is socially awkward due to her lack of interaction with anyone except him and basically views him as the only person who ever really stood beside her in her entire life. Then she sees someone raep him, and now it seems that that very same person is going to take away the only one left who loves and cares for her. I think she's allowed to be a bit difficult in the circumstances
btw it's Nao

^That's the huge difference between Sora and a certain other little sister this season. Sora's actions in this episode are easily understandable, and even excusable. I don't find her insufferable at all, her tantrum upon seeing Nao and Haru have sex out of the blue was justified. Seeing them do it all those years ago must have been traumatic for her (she said it herself, she didn't even know what they were doing, but she knew it was bad). To be honest, I expected her to react more violently than she did. Additionally, after Haru decided he still wanted to be with Nao, Sora hasn't tried to come between them, instead, she's distancing herself from them to let her brother live his own live, even though doing so makes her suffer a lot. So no, I don't find Sora annoying at all. In fact, she's the one I feel bad for in this arc (granted, I'm very biased towards her in the first place).
Nao and Haru should stop assuming the problem will disappear overtime. Sora and Nao first need to have a heartfelt discussion if they ever want to make up. Haru telling Sora he was going out with Nao would have most likely lessen the impact of seeing them have sex, too. At the very least, she wouldn't have felt as betrayed. Quote:
The maid omake was funny as always (Akira ate a whale ) but it doesn't look like it's going anywhere now. Are they just going to bang every week from now on?

Was the scene where Sora catches them having sex supposed to be funny? Because if not, that has to be one of the most narmiest things i've ever seen. I almost pissed myself laughing when Haru turns his head round and still keeps on going. XD

To be honest, I love tsunderes as they usually end up being my favorite characters; but, due to her unfortunate and unique circumstances, Sora is on a completely different level than your typical tsundere. For this reason, I support her as a character and hope one day that her strong dependency towards Haru gradually diminishes and she can find her own happiness. However, I feel many people not only sympathize with her, but also are hoping she and Haru become an intimate couple. That is one thing I can not support with Sora being the way she is. Even if they get together romantically, it would result in a very unhealthy relationship whereby Haru would constantly feel guilty when in the presence of other girls who'd act friendly with him and Sora becoming hostile to them to the point any interaction between the three would be tremendously awkward and tense. Besides, I have a feeling her possessive nature would actually get worse - imagine that - if they were to be a couple.

Concerning the time back then when Nao and Haru had sex - I wouldn't say it was rape at all, it seemed very consential from Haru's side. It was him in the flashback who fondled Nao's breasts out of his own accord, without being forced, and Nao fully enjoyed it. There's nothing to indicate that Nao forced himself upon him.
After the act, Haru was simply totally overwhelmed by having had sex for the first time and didn't know how to react. Possibly Nao hadn't planned for them to have sex and had only wanted Haru to fondle her breasts, but they both enjoyed it that much then that they went ever further, until they eventually had sex. Having been carried away, they didn't quite know how to handle it. About why Haru was lying on his stomach: that was simply so they didn't have to show his "mushroom with cream" With the maid "assaulting" Haru with her body in the side arc at the end, that wasn't rape either, or they wouldn't have been lying that peacefully next to each other after it. Quote:
Haru is a better protagonist than Jun'ichi in Amagami, and there was only little of Sora so far, she'll only really have any noteworth screentime in her arc at the end. If you should still dislike her by then, you could simply skip it.

That isn't to say that there isn't some degree of range into how you can interpret what happened... but that's outside the range.
