It was funny and weird at the same time. And that made me want to know more
The way the entities from other worlds are being treated as being influenced by particular creators of the "Hub World" intrigues me. This is just an assumption of mine, but I usually prefer to believe every kind of story, real or fictional, in any kind of media or the likes, is but a representation of a different dimension or reality, potentially depicting accuratelly or not the reality of said other world to us. Wouldn't things sound more interesting this way? Of course, the way the Anime is presenting the setting also seems plausible, in a fictional sense |

Whoops. Didn't know I'd posted my stuff in the anticipation thread. Reposting here for future discussions.

I find Souta's first few minutes particularly interesting. His monologue could be retrospective of the events that are about to take place, but I suspect it's not. He claims himself to be a narrator and desires to tell "her" story. Then he returns home and tries to draw, failing to draw any inspiration from not!pixiv, and finally giving up to watch the latest episode of his favorite anime. It's interesting he has such a specific piece of equipment for drawing, but finds himself unable to. Is he in a slump? Or is he some noob who bought such an expensive piece of equipment only to realize he's got nothing? Then there's the elephant in the room. The military uniform princess is the only fictional character with no known original source material and she seems to recognize Souta. I suspect that she may be what Souta was trying to create, the main character of the story he was trying to tell. That or a character he created when he was a kid, but doesn't remember.

It was different but also not different at all. Unlike Kado I didn't really get a feel for the overall story or road this is gonna go down. Himegimi is a bit neat but I don't know how long she can hold the fort as sole antagonist in a 22 episode series, or what this show is going to do with that many episodes. I guess it's a situation where I really need 3 episodes to probably gauge it.
I am glad it didn't weigh down the audience with exposition and showed us characteristics with action and conversation. Still disappointed Celestia took everything so lightly and that was that. |

Ep 01
Not quite sure what to think of this one - I kinda liked some parts of it and thought other parts were odd. Sometimes it worked well and other times it ... not so much fell flat or did not work but was just ... odd? Like I had zero context for processing what I was watching. Will also admit that the OST and audio in general works quite effectively for me. But I am kinda interested, I must admit. Not a bad first episode on the whole, I think? Will give other episodes a try at least.

Episode 1
Like others I don't know what to think about this series, the animation, soundtrack, fights and desgins are quite nice but what is for me a let down is how the story from beginning to end wasn't something original, in fact, it feels quite similar to other stories with the same settings. I'm still interested on this show and see what happens so I'll give more episodes but to be honest this feels like another generic adaptation based on a random LN. |

When I heard of the concept I immediately thought of a 50s-60s- short sci-fi story (I think it was by Ray Bradbury, but I'm not sure) where the life of the people "inside the TV" is discussed. This concept hasn't been used in anime that much, so it's interesting.
For now it looks intriguing, we'll see how it's going to develop, with 22 episodes they have enough time. |

Lol, kinda hard to give accurate review with this episode lol.
Still will try to have hope. Even though this has staff which was involved in Aldnoah Zero (the series which disappointments you at the end lol). Any chance that if there is a possible romance in this that certain girl hooks up with a character who randomly showed for last few episode after all the build up with the MC? Anyway, need to give a chance to every TV original anime.

Hmm... Better production values than I was expecting going in, even though I had seen the PVs. Really good music and action scenes. I think the execution was kinda off-center, but I understand they're trying to set their pieces up. I'm curious enough to see where it goes for now.

Also for me discussing about fate/predestination is completely pointless. Unless method to find out a future is known, then there is no way to check, if such thing like fate exist. Assuming, that God created everything, and was able to predict all of results, in my opinion it doesn't mean a free will do not exist. Being, which exists in such world, still make their own decisions basic on facts and reality known to him, and that matters.

Nasu said that this is about how we look at fiction with the same themes as Nier Automata and Persona 5. As a rather big fan of those two, I am really looking forward to what's in store.
So far, I'll just say it wasn't a disappointing ep1 for me. Every other show I've seen this season has disappointed me in some way so far |
