I remember the plot like the palm of my hand.......Auron is dead, killed by Yunalesca after Braska and Jecht dies defeating sin. So, Auron is like temporarily revived, to fulfill his task, or promise to Jecht and Braska. So, Auron is like revived, not rather dead like a ghost.....

Apparently you don't remember it then. He was never revived. He was always dead after that. He just willed himself not to pass on, and remained as an unsent, much like the fiends, except in his form of choice.

I did not say revived exactly, just LIKE revived, means he is not in a spirit state, like when Lord Jyscal escaped the Farplane...But I wonder about one thing though, why didn't he become a fiend? Is it because his will is too strong?

Auron's survival is definitely a puzzle, though perhaps the fact that he's on a mission for Jecht played a part?

Auron might well be my favorite male character in all the Final Fantasy games.

Auron isn't the only one that didn't become a fiend after his death though. Maester Mika, and Seymour is the same, the same goes for Belgemine. Anyway, has anybody completed the sidequests? I want to share some opinions, since I got problems getting Kimahri's Celestial Weapon.

The only two CWs worth getting are Tidus's and Yuna's. If you go through the omega ruin and get the l4 keys and all, just teach Yuna the doublecast and Ultima.

Finally, I've got all the celestial weapons( quite easily too!), and trying to get the ultimate armor to beat Dark Aeons for my characters!! ( Auto-Haste + Auto-Protect + Ribbon + Break HP Limit ) I've got it for Yuna and Wakka, that's still a long way to go, but it's worth the price for my ultimate goal, to beat Penance!!

unfortunately they will probably never remake FFVII the cost alone would bankrupt them, it would just be too massive to be rendered graphically as say FFXIII.

They would either have to make cuts or keep a lot of the "old school" graphical style IMO people would end up disappointed no mater what they did.

Lol this game has aged terribly but I think I remember hearing that its even more popular in Japan than vii was so the decision makes sense I guess. Going to be curious to see how well the story and cast goes over hear the second time around though cause honestly Auron was the only character from that game I can ever remember anyone liking. Doubt Tidus and Yunas story resonates with anyone other than Japan the second time around.

Also one other thing to consider, a lot of the staff from the original FFVII is long gone from the compqny but almost every major player with the exception of Uematsu is still there. Something to ponder...

All that said..kind of still waiting for that new from scratch rpg that'd actually fun to play from square. It really can't be this hard, but then again given how bad they'll clearly suffering from game design deficiency of late maybe remakes are the best they can do.

ffx sold 1.4 million in debut while ffvii sold 3.3million almost double. fvii has a worldwide sale of 10+million.

the remake has less to do with which is more popular and which cheaper/easier to enhance to HD.
