This is the thread that I meant. Edit - Ah. Forgot the "Taiyou to Kaze no Sakamichi" as part of the title. My bad.

... A manga series I really enjoy right now is Eyesheild21, but after watching that JUMP one piece, I don't think it will translate well into animation... |

Edit - I'm a bit surprised that "Shi Jou Sai Kyou no Deshi Kenichi" ("History's Strongest [Martial Arts] Student Kenichi" is about the best translation that I can come up with) being serialized in "Shonen Sunday" hasn't been made into an anime yet. Martial arts, fights, and buxum girls (fan service and all) are normally pretty easy sells.

I think Wish could be nice as a short series or OVA. CLAMP did make a cute Wish music video, but unfortunately it doesn't seem that they'll do anything more with it. Of course, I'd be just as happy to see anime made from some of the other CLAMP manga like Clover, xxHolic, Tsubasa, etc that others have already mentioned.
Alichino would make an amazing anime if it had a big enough budget. This is some of the most detailed, delicate, absolutely gorgeous manga artwork I've ever seen. But I'm not sure it's feasible to animate this manga without losing at least some of the intricacy of the original art, so it's unlikely it will become an anime. Death Note is almost certain to become an anime someday, it's just a matter of when. I hope they'll wait until the manga gets pretty far, though, because it'd be horrible if this turned into one of those cases where the anime catches up with the manga, runs out of plot, and either stalls or throws together a bad and/or inconclusive ending (like Juuni Kokki, for example). |

What manga do you think should be animated?
Choose one manga that is not animated that you would like to see.
Kare First Love, Mars or the cute series Happy Hustle High. It's romantic, the couple gets together early on, there's a great relationship, the characters are lovable and it's sweet and romantic. It's classier than a lot of the shows that are animated and the characters and couple are all enjoyable. Every moment of the series was great, their was never a time when you'd want to scream at any character. Last edited by MamoruUsagi; 2006-10-24 at 14:02. |

Le Cirque De Karakakuri
Unique concept of a shounen series which combines gritty brutality and a huge amount of character deaths, a deep-indepth story dating back 200 years accompanied by tons of flashbacks from various perspectives, and immersing characters that combine a story filled with intensity, unrequited love, hate, and sacrifice of humanity. Frankly, I'm surprised it haven't got animated when stuff like MAR and Kenichi are getting their's soon. Easily one of the top 10 shounen series ever simply for the amazing The Last Stand at Sahara Desert arc. Megumi no Daigo Reverse Umizaru. Umizaru but with fire. Nuff' said. Dragon Quest : Dai no Daibouken Actually, this does have an anime, but the anime pisses on the original material so much I'm left speechless. The slow, budding RPG story with it's hidden mysteries and pace building climax of a story got thrown around randomly. I was like...wtf? It needs a remake. NOW. Actually there's tons of anime that deserves it's own anime, but realistically speaking...some of them are destined to not get an anime. Good, but it works way better not as an anime. Team Medical Dragon comes into mind. |

choose one? i choose three.
1 - D. Gray-Man......... oh, would you look at that, it will be an anime series starting in October. Win! 2 - Zombie Powder - yeah, i said it. it would be a good anime. even if kubotite never had the chance to finish the manga. 3 - Berserk - namely, more Berserk. with modern animation techniques. there is so much manga, the new anime could pretty much be ongoing if they wanted to make it that way. how awesome would it be to see some of the more recent arcs animated?? production IG could do it, and you know they would make it bloody. |

Absolute Boyfriend would make an interesting anime in a reverse-but-more-smutty-than-Chobits kind of way. Though, personally, I'd rather see Yotsubato as well. I know my wife has been dying to see it ever since she saw the banner on Omni's log and found out that the author of Azumanga Daioh has another manga.
