Lol, this episode was atrocious. At least it looked consistent, consistently awful.
There was one scene in particular, when the five Gold Saints were reunited, that looked hilarious (look at Aldebaran's face, he looks like Togashi's scribbles). They liked that shot so much that they decided to show it again a couple minutes later. Moving on to the plot...whatever is possessing Lyfia seems connected to death and the undead, so i'm guessing it was used to play a role on resurrecting the Gold Saints, as Andreas clearly needed them for his goal, despite the lies he's been feeding the God Warriors. Aiolos' missing arrow that Andreas overlooked will predictably be his downfall, anyway. And i hope Camus finishes Surt next episode. He can't fall without properly redeeming himself. I'm not watching SMC, does it REALLY look worse than this? Last edited by Goty; 2015-06-20 at 02:40. |

Just try the first 10 episodes if you dare . SMC might be more colorful and brighter than SoG but the quality of the animation and drawings of the characters is just sad imo. Why do you think SM-fans were (and some still are) pissed off because of it. Thankfully I'm not a SM-fan, so I can just casually drop it without suffering some psychological-scars .

On a barely related note, I'm overjoyed that they added the God Warriors to the video game. |

well i liked omega but i agree which harbriger was the best taurus i see so far and have one of the best anime speechs lines, instead of the "generic nakama" he was direct and spit in the face of the enemie some trues of the world, i never gonna forget it when he break the sword of titan, he was for me one of the top best gold saints of all saint seyia anime for me so far i really miss him.

Well, 7 was predictable. It seems they're trying to emulate Kurumada's narrative with all the manly tears and the cheesy changes of heart, but Aldebaran's fight was just lame and by the book. And as usual, the attacks lack impact, it feels like they don't connect..i don't know, but the fights aren't managing to be exciting.
Camus' section was better, and although rushed and predictable, i admit i wasn't expecting Shura to act as nothing more than a stepping stone to Camus. Also it's funny how, regardless of the episode, some Gold Saints look better drawn than others. Camus' close-ups are pretty much always nice and detailed, while Aldebaran looked bad almost all the time. Dohko isn't very lucky either. |

If you take as "Shura puts his mission over everything" then it cam make some sort of sense. He was there to destroy the crystal, not fight Camus. On the other hand, Camus's face turn in this episode is the stupidest moment in the Soul of Gold so far IMO.
