Is the anime doing a good job on the adaptation? I've been reading the manga before the anime was announced, but never watched it.

I personally think that the anime is better than the manga so far, bar that crappy last moment in the Seirin vs. Touo game when they ran out of budget and the occasional moments of QUALITY. The soundtrack is awesome though, pumps me up everytime.

Even if you're not planning on watching the anime, you should at least check out episode 24. Soo good

Some of the matches/plays have pretty fluid animation. It definitely feels more exciting than the manga.

The final episode was really good.
That Aomine vs Kise game was just awesome!
Those guys really know how to play.
It seems like just those two were on the court playing.
Exhaustion was getting to the rest of the team.
That kind of rivalry was just amazing.
Hope there will be a second season.

Wow I'm surprised at those scenes near end, they flashed past some events I hope will be covered as deeply as this one. I can't wait for next season, hope the quality is kept up. One of the best of 2012!

Now that I've seen the ending teasers, I really wish OP2 didn't so blatantly reveal Murasakibara and Akashi. It would've made the final ending scene a lot more impactful. It's such a clash of emotions, given that the last few minutes of the S1 ending was intense amounts of HYPE!

Also, I nearly did a spit-take when Akashi was revealed... I thought he was shown with his old Teiko jersey.

That was a nice ending to the first season. But season 2 can't come fast enough.

Season 2 should wait for a year or it will catch up with the manga in no time. I rather wait than have a bunch of fillers.

Second season will probably feature the whole winter cup, we already saw a few scenes where Kagami plays against Murasakibara.
It'll probably be a year or so for S2, since the manga still hasn't finished the winter cup.

Given that the manga is now at Chapter 182 (at least halfway through the winter cup) and the anime has stopped around chapter 74, they'll probably start the 2nd season at the earliest in Summer 2013 to give the weekly manga enough time to reach closer to the winter cup conclusion.
