Manga Undead Unluck is getting an anime adaptation, coming next year 2023.

Myanimelist Synopsis

After reading the conclusion of her favorite manga series, Fuuko Izumo finally feels ready to end her existence. For the past 10 years, Fuuko has been afflicted by a condition that brings extreme misfortune to anyone who touches her. This has had a drastic effect on her surroundings, even inadvertently resulting in the deaths of those around her—including her parents.

As she stands on a bridge above train tracks, Fuuko is touched by a strange man, causing the footing underneath him to break and dropping him in front of an oncoming train. However, when Fuuko finds the man's corpse, she discovers that his body is regenerating and that he is coming back to life.

The man, whom Fuuko names Andy, is immortal—and like her, he also wishes for death. Initially dismissive, Fuuko eventually decides to team up with Andy to give him the best death possible; but a mysterious organization lurks in the shadows, hoping to take advantage of the duo's bizarre abilities.

I really didn't have to wait long to hear how Fuuko would be handled here. And so far, she's sounding great . Honestly feels like perfect casting in that sense.

And they really got it right with the production side. David Production do excellent work that's for sure .

I think that's the first time I've seen someone relate the death of their parents to two lovers embracing and kissing in a snowed out apocalypse from a romance manga, but you do you Fuko .

It's really something to finally read the end of one your favorite romance manga's, huh? All the moreso when you think you have nothing left but to finally end your life and bring the misfortune that follows you to a conclusion...but then a shirtless Yuichi Nakamura shows up and you accidentally stab him and get him run over by a train. And THEN His head just flies and reconstitutes his body like it's nothing. What a morning !

Who needs webs or flight when you can just use your regenerating body to launch yourself off rooftops like a madman ?

Yeah, Fuko, get away from the naked man and his censored balls who wants to use your Unluck power to to have a spectacular death! Or just have him get hit by a crate of bananas after copping a feel on your boobs. But watch out for banana peels !

If nothing else Mr. "Zombie" does save Fuko and she's able to open up about what happened to her parents and what she's had to live with, even if he makes for an...interesting travel companion. But she does get a free haircut out of it so she's not dark-haired Rapunzel any more, so that's good .

Of course then a different brand of misfortune arrives when Zombie gets his head sliced off and Fuko ends up handcuffed by a group of Negators here to capture them. But say what you will about the Zombie, he treated Fuko fairly and didn't see her as a weapon or someone who can only kill, and in fact her Unluck ended up helping save the day .

So Zombie's card in his head is sealing up all his memories including skills that make him incredibly skilled in a fight? Sick .

Who would've expected a kiss to end with a meteor blowing up a mansion? Just a regular day in the madcap shonen romcom life of Undead and Unluck! Wicked Sick !

Ah yes, Andy immediately jumping to sex. Run Fuko run !

I can't even tell what the setting is. Why do they have these powers?
As far as I can tell, not a single background character appeared in the episode, so has the human race already gone extinct? Considering the asteroid that hit at the end of the episode, they will go extinct pretty soon either way

Other than that, pretty shounen designs
And that's about it.

Uh, I guess her breasts were big too.


Oh yeah, one more thing, don't spend 3 minutes of the first episode on something that looks unrelated to the story. Even if it is foreshadowing, it's not like the anime is gonna cover that much.

Okay I know someone probably said this somewhere already but it's worth really pointing out that story is fucking insanity...
