Are there any plans to change/upgrade the pre-defined Generic Avatars in the future?

I know that most people around here prefer to make their own (or ask someone to), but every now and then you see a new member using one of those and I though it would be nice to give them some fresh options from time to time.

No plans. However, if someone provides us with a set that they made for that purpose, I'm sure we would consider installing them.

Nope. If it was it would not be there.

Thanks for the reply.

Couldn't answer sooner to this because of some problems with my computer for the past month or so. (can't access the internet sometimes)

I may do a set in the future if no one else feels like doing one.

If they are well made, I would certainly be eager to see them.

Mmm. What do you mean by set @_@

Specifications please..
Things like how many what kind of style they should be in size how the files should be named, border style anime types etcetera.

----------------
Would this count as a tiny set for example.

//edit: Avy's moved down with rest

Yes, that definitely counts as a set. There is a strong theme, they have similar style and there are plenty enough. Might we have your permission to use those? Are you still adding to that set?

Might even add to that set with other neko mimi avatars that others make.

Sure NSW you can use them.
BTW that was a silly question you know

Anyway I just used that as an example, I made them for CG a while back to brighten his day. (along with several sigs) I could make another 1 or 2 hundred I guess.

Should I post them here?

Hey, my silly question got it's own thread!!. Yaaay

Great work on those avatars BlackCatXIII I am happy to see someone else is interested in giving away some avatars to the forum.

I have made some as well, but I'll try to have at least 20 or so before posting the whole thing.

Feel free to make another few hundred and post them here. We can then choose the best 124 of them for an avatar set.

That's because it wasn't a silly question after all.

We'll be looking forward to seeing them! I'm really impressed at how your little question has gotten things moving. Now let's see if we can take this idea to completion.

Lol, I already had almost 20 of them.

The Watsuki set:

I must admit that I was not planning on having a single theme for all the avatars, but I liked the idea behind Blackcat's set, and decided to do the same.

And eventhough the last two look a little different from the rest they are still made by the same artist.

Very nice. I notice most of the girls are SD versions of Kanon characters, but not all of them. What would you title this collection? Should we call it "Daniel E.'s Cute Girl Collection"?

xris leave my dot alone, I need it to tell if they all load right and it defines the lines thus there will be a little space between each row. (so when copy/pasting I don't have to worry when to start a new row)

I find looking at them stuck togheter way too annoying, if you don't like my dot, please just add a color tag with that makes the text (dot) white or the color of the bg for the skin your using.

Uh, possibly using the return key would be a good plan. My widescreen monitor is stretched by about 4 times...

Nice avs there. I'd rep, but you've got it disabled, so I'll just rep Daniel.E and give a virtual rep to BlackCat

You should see less lines but they shouldn't strech the screen.
Hm. Forum error thing?

What browser?

Opera

It happens in any browser if you put tons of images with no breaks.

edit: To clarify, I don't mean stretch in the normal sense, just that the screen is now 4 times wider than it should be, with horizontal scrollbars appearing.

I'm using opera and nothing like that happens to me.
I just see 13 rows with 9 avys each and 1 with 3. //edit same in Firefox.

First time I visited this thread they displayed fine. Now they don't. Thought you'd edited it or something.

Incidentally, just checked in IE6 and it's doing it there too. It's because of those points you're using between the images. It's the same as having a huge line of images with no breaks, it just widens the screen.

edit: a pic to show my point:

Clickies!

Remove the points, or just use spaces instead (it does the same thing) and it'll be fixed.

Yep, same thing for me; Same browser as Radiosity (IE) also. Though, I must admit to being pretty clueless about this sort of thing.

Oh and thanks for the cookie.
