The answer is right above you. Four split cour, which I think might be a first.

The animation looks fantastic, and as Kubo promised, the censorship is gone (you can tell on the Harribel shot). Matsumoto even has her manga accurate hair color now.

It's just too bad we won't get subs. Fucking Disney+.

The whole Disney+ thing is looking more and more like a red herring. Viz already announced it's getting simulcast and Disney+ generally doesn't do that.

It also wasn't announced in D23 either. More than likely it'll be Hulu.

They did two screenings of the first two episodes in Japan. Unsurprisingly, the initial reception was overwhelmingly positive and, according to those that attended, several fight scenes were expanded upon on those two episodes.

That's surprising. Bleach has always had an extensive cast and it was never a problem. I guess the main issue is the Stern Ritters being voiced by so many popular seiyuu. Mostly males.

It's not a real problem. Even from the article I can tell Sugiyama said it as a joke despite them trying to take it out of context.

This article is so clickbait it shouldn't even exist.

Morita and Orikasa reported hearing the same thing, so it's not completely a joke. The article definitely blew it out of proportions though.

Going to keep it under spoiler tags since it's not been official released yet. Spoiler for Episode 1: The animation is definitely everything I was hoping for and more. The montage at the end of the episode made the difference compared to the old anime even more obvious. They expanded the fight against the Hollows a lot. I don't think we even saw them fight in the manga. Everyone got to show off their signature move (nice job destroying that building's facade, Chad). Using bankai here was really overkill, it wasn't even a matter of wanting Ichigo's bankai to be in the episode since he uses it later on. The fight against the arrancar was also nicely animated. The stage has been set. The final arc begins after all these years. __________________
