Not on the trains that I use! Of course, with my being a guy, the chances of a groper attacking me are much lower. But depending on the locations of the events, the trains serving the area could be packed. The JR Yamanote trains are normally very packed during these times, so touching is not easy to stop.
I'm just amazed how leaders of countries care so much that they are taking time out of their schedules to pitch. Obama did it, it seems, and I read that Hatoyama was going also earlier. Edit: The Chicago pitch that I'm hearing now is laying it on really thick, but that is par for the course, I guess.

According to the news I heard this morning live from Copenhagen - before the committees started their speeches - Chicago did seem to have taken a lead towards Rio, with the other two cities standing behind.

wait, they're deciding now!?
ooooh sweet *checks out BBC* Yea, go figure, Obama is headhunting for Chicago :\ Pros and cons for each candidate city And as much as it'd be nice for Rio to get it, according to the various categories they were judging the countries on, rio 'aparently' wouldn't be able to deal with the weight of the olympics in terms of infrastructure, fiance and a few other things compared to the other countries. It's not just a case of 'location' as the factor for these things tbh but we'll see, a trip to Brazil would be cool tbh... But yeah, opting for Tokyo, (biased cause my two cities would be related) Europe has had a 8 year gap between them, so Asia may go the same way perhaps.

First vote: Chicago eliminated. Second vote: Tokyo eliminated. Rio de Janeiro and Madrid now up for the Grand Finale, vote should be at 6:30 PM Copenhagen time (50 minutes from now).

I am not happy at all about Rio, but I am curious to see what the Brazil volleyball teams and Beach volley teams will do.
The women's result in Beach volley got worse, to the point that they failed to win a medal in China. Since they will play at home, they'll have to win. |
