Manga 'Uchuu Senkan Tiramisu' is getting a TV anime adaptation by studio Gonzo. Coming for 2018.

Plot Summary

Quote:

The human race extended it's life field and greed to the vast reaches of space... In Space Era 0156, a war breaks out amidst all of the colonies in space. Earth begins to construct a new space battleship called Tiramisu in secret. Just as the war begins, one genius pilot steers the Tiramisu as a beacon of hope for humanity.

The website is live now, although there's nothing there yet other than the promo image and commentary from the writer and the mangaka.

It's a comedy, yes, and from the first chapters it seems to be right up my street, so I'm looking forward to it.

I suppose no-one's watching this... too bad, it's funny, and the short format works reasonably well with the vignettes (and at least it's not 3 minutes like Gunma).

Edit: So he’s even more self-confined to his cockpit. Also the groping scene was an epic failure.

still not sure what franchise is this series trying to jab at, on the top of my head is Uchuu Senkan Yamato and Gundam.
