I can't tell why they jumped from that flashfoward to Boruto the Movie. That film was already the most popular one. Why retell it in manga form?

Also, I agree at some parts looking ugly, but in other panels they remind me more of Kishimoto's art

Wow... I never expected it to look so bad... I've seen Korean webcomics that look batter than this.

Also, I'm baffled why they are covering the movie. It pretty much kills any excitement for the manga since we know that the next two or so chapter will be showing.

IMO, covering the movie would gave enough time for the mangaka to fix his drawing (which very rough on characters but Boruto and Naruto) as well as adding additional detail that could lead to that kind of outcome (color pages one) as I'm having hard time to believe a town where two strongest person alive reside could be destroyed just like that.

I don't have problem with his drawings though, its not like Naruto have refined art from start.

Looking at Konohamaru shooting Rasengan again made me wonder if Konoha get nuked by Rasengan warhead fired from a large cannon.

I think this is a monthly series rather than weekly...

Meanwhile, wonder what kind of antagonists we'll get in the series. I'm not really impressed by the artwork yet.

I don't think so. They will probably just let the new artist improve over time.

This art seem the base art this artist can do for now, it will take time for the artist to develop decent art for Naruto.

Plus it's not like Kishimoto's art itself didn't change over the years, just compare chapter one of Naruto to his latest work.

The situations are different
in early Naruto, the series was unknown that time, the vision of art people saw that time are the most decent they could seen from Naruto. Along the years Kishimoto artwork evolve to be better, the readers also nod the change since them followed the transition.
Boruto on other hand, created after the success of Naruto. Most readers has used with Kishimoto recent artwork, when they see the newest artwork which horribly deviant from the usual artwork they have seen every week ultimately caused disturbance for readers eyes.

I believe the question to input here is:
How many chapter needed for us to wait until the artist can draw better?

I suppose keeping Kishimoto's aesthetic is important if you want to continue writing about his world, though to be honest it didn't feel different enough for me to think it was jarring.

Though, it makes a good distinction I think. Those who dislike the outcome of the series can ignore Boruto far more easily if it' so different atmosphere wise.

Yeah, i also suggested in previous post to treat Boruto as "non canon" for our sanity sake.
Although the incoming anime adaptation could suffice to justify the manga art
Let see if Boruto going to end up like Nanoha force
