This section of the manga is all Moka's PoV whereas pre-time-skip was Isamu's. We were exposed to Isamu's many flaws and his infatuation with Moka. Moka was just this perfect little doll who we never really knew much about besides her love for boxing and wish to carry on her father's legacy. Now we get to see Moka's growth like we did with Isamu. Her being chubby makes her human and her getting back on the path is something to look forward to. This way both Moka and Isamu will see each other's flaws and strengths and develop a healthy relationship (as opposed to one based on infatuation and/or hero-worship).

I have to say that I really like Moka's chubby personality better than her old one. Of course I want her to get back into shape, but it's nice to see her with a, y'know, personality.

Johnny Working the bags... Join Date: Mar 2009	Spoiler for ch 52: Wow, if I understood it correctly he didn't recognize Moka. Is the author giving him Goro level of denseness as the story progresses? He does show off his six pack that the punk hurt his hand on hitting... Plus it showed why Moka became fluffy. Being active in softball is all well and good, but sitting on the couch stuffing your face with snacks is going to offset that. Oh a quick bath scene and her boobs are huge now. That uniform does them no justice...
