In chapter 110, it is stated that the MC himself doesn't know what he is. After being in a accident, he became a seven year old orphan? If he really did reincarnate he should have been a baby. In addition, he develop spirit art abilities and gain a contracted spirit that he seem didn't have before he was seven?
Well, anywhere what I want to discuss is his current state of mind. From what I read his surface personality seem to be that of Haruto since he is so kind and mature. However, an intense desire for revenge lies within his subconscious (Rio). In my opinion Haruto is the main personality, however the strongest of Rio's emotion is affecting Haruto's mindset. This makes Haruto confuse about himself, yet it could also be stated that Haruto and Rio have not become one being. |

^Dunno about the WN, but in the LN he repeats many times that the main personality is Rio and he thinks himself as Rio.
In fact, in vol 6, when he tells the truth to Celia, he affirms that he's Rio and feels like a 16 years old young man, corresponding to his body, and not an almost 30yo guy. He says that Haruto's memories are only added experiences that made him gain maturity, but in the end Haruto is dead, and he's Rio. |

I feel that it is a type of soul fusion in the web novel. This is because he Rio didn't had Haruto's memories to being with, spirit art abilities skyrocketed, a high spirit would never have contract with a human race, his split personalities, and the voice at his death.
In the light novel I wonder what it signify? It is made clear that the main personality is different and adding to the hero summoning with above elements, it is full of errors. |

I guess, when you read the WN, and you get to one certain part there, you appreciate the LN even more, because that part can make you angry pretty fast.

^Can't compare, didn't read yet. Was just a recent example, not like Tomozaki is my favorite novel or anything.
But yeah, I'm pretty sure it's the WN effect. Like, I was pretty disappointed by Takatrash after seeing what everyone says about him. When you only read the LN, while he does get on your nerve, it's not as bad as what the WN seems to be. Even more reason to not read it. |
