The Deana and Kay episode was really enjoyable, I like how it's fleshing out the side cast already. Also enjoy the "Derrick is dead" sideplot immediately being replaced by the "Yuri is a robot" plot, except she actually is and everyone knows it but Kirill.

To be honest, so far I am not impressed. It lacks something T&B had but bring enough of it's own charm. Overly it's pretty bland.

That Derick subplot was resolved pretty quickly, only to have the "Yuri is a robot" subplot replace it, which was also solved rather quickly

I'm not overly fond of the idea that Yuri is actually a robot. I feel like it takes away from her interactions with the other characters and her implied relationship with Maxine if that's the case.

Why do you say that? She might be a robot but I think she's pretty close to a human mentally. This might be something the show could explore too, although right now it's mainly a comedy. The preview said that's going to change starting next week now that introductions are done, but after what they pulled with Derick I don't know if I should believe it.

Third time's the charm. I was pretty on the fence about this series, but this episode totally sold me. It's the darkest the show got so far and I loved it.

I'm rather curious about Esperanza's true motives in the show. That part has my interest along with some of their key members.

Hope they can make Kirill more likable. I find it hard to take him seriously at times compared to his partner, Doug.

That was quite the change of mood. Doug and Kirill got played like fiddles. I wonder why Z waited this long to enact this plan though? I guess he figured he needed a good reason to (seemingly) betray his allies or Doug wouldn't take the bait.

Bamboo Man made quite the first impression. He has insane speed and strength, without even going into overdrive! They'll have to come up with new countermeasures.

This is clearly some sort of power play. Zabel snitched on other leaders of Esperanza to take total control of the organization.

Kirill was plenty likable this episode. He really proved himself a trustworthy partner for Doug.

Z was probably waiting for B to bust him out, but security was too tight for him so they had to pull this stunt.

It will be kind of ironic if B has some variant on the "Hundred Power" that Kotetsu and Barnaby had (will have?), where he can become a hundred times faster and stronger than his base state for up to 5 minutes.

But Zabel was "Z". He would have Bamboo Man to deal with for control. Do you think that they operated on a reverse alphabet system where "Z" was the real boss?

Liked the nod to "The Usual Suspects" in this episode.

It's a misconception that Z exploited to his advantage this episode.

Esperanza hierarchy is probably not based on the leader naming convention, it just take the first letter of their name/codename.

A = Agapetus Kryod
B = Bamboo Man
Z = Zabel Franken

Alhazred Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2009	Spoiler for Episode 6: Gotta wonder if that raving drunk was onto something about how Lisvaletta is an "experiment" run by "people above" and how there shouldn't be two suns; could just be the writers trolling us, could be actual foreshadowing. Could also be the writers self-inserting and breaking the 4th wall again to talk about the show. Kirill and Travis continue to be on exactly the same wavelength and Travis continues to be a horrible person. The "reveal" about Kirill's sister was an amusing anticlimax as usual, but since the circumstances of her disappearance are still pretty much unknown and "V" hasn't been accounted for yet... well, could just be another troll.
