Yeah, there are lots and lots of other anime where the manga is better and/or continues past the anime.

You buy it from Dark Horse, since they have licensed it.

Damn, really. I've had the manga for a while but haven't read it yet (upto vol.26). Man, now I really have to find some time to read and see what the hell is going on.

Yes, he fights a demon in the first episode, however I don't consider that a spoiler because it doesn't really spoil anything, now does it? You might as well say that the fact that Gatts has a sword in the first episode is a spoiler.

What I'm saying is: (warning: spoilers about cool live-action movies)
Spoiler:

or
Spoiler:

are spoilers.

'Gatts fights demons' is not a spoiler.

Also, you're the one who just spoiled the fact that
Spoiler:
for Sugetsu by not using spoiler tags.

Now who's the dumbass?

Well, you were the one who spoiled the fact that Caska was still alive didn't you?But who cares anyway. That is just a trivial matter.

psssssss: don't forget to answer my pm

Question Berserk Anime, Explanation?

OK, so I've been told by a lot of my friends that also watch anime that I have to see berserk, it's the greatest thing since nipples. So I get it and watch the episodes. Okay, this is pretty cool, a guy with a giant sword killing the hell out of some guys. Castle raids, political maneuvering, great battle scenes, crazy action all around, normal medieval fantasy-type anime.

Then I got to episode 23.

Red faces as the ground and sky, a naked giant demon woman coming out of the ground, some fatfaced little demon, then you got hellraiser's brother in law with his brain on the outside of his skull and no lips and his eyes sewed shut. You get hentai tentacle demon monsters, then everyone starts getting the hell eaten out of them. Then Griffith turns into a winged demon and rapes Caska in front of Guts who cuts his own arm off and then gets his eye jabbed out by some other demon while he watches his woman get raped by the demon form of his best friend. I'm expecting him to snap and rip shit up, or Zod to come in and run a death train on some demons, and then I see the ending credits and realize I've got no more episodes to watch.

WHAT THE HELL KIND OF ENDING IS THAT?

Before you all start posting and saying how retarded I am, I realize that there are manga chapters that go beyond the show, which I am trying to get my hands on now, but I watched the last anime episode about 15 minutes ago and it's really blowing my mind. What the hell?

I don't mind manga spoilers so if someone wants to give a synopsis of what the chapters after this are all about, or links to summaries or something, I'd not complain.

Seriously though, what the hell?

I liked the anime.
I joke that Guts' misfortune was decreased by 90% cuz they didn't feature Donovan in the OVA...

Started good, felt like it could be something different, but -IMO- is just fell short of it. Slightly too revelling in gore and berserk, and the protagonist made me think of young teens in their worst testosterone-age. If the ending was bland, guess the whole serie was about that; "berserk desperation." Not sure, since I read the manga only to half-way.

I felt that the anime was really good, and like everyone else got pissed at the fact that it ended so badly. I need to read up on the manga cuz that series has been drilled into me man. Anyone who says that they hated Berserk just has bad taste in anime IMO. Oh, and I really didn't wanna know what's up with Caska, thanx.

Anyways the thing I can say abou the series is that, every episode up to 22, was awsome. From there I thought that it sucked, and really took you out of the picture and mood, heck I was not even interested in watching the last episode, when I did I though about the ending for about the night and forgot in the morning. If I were to rate the show I would give it a 8/10

By the way Caska and Guts romance was well done, but they juuuuuuuust had to wreck it in the end.
