Haha I can definitely see that.

I'm glad they are giving Seiren some flexibility to still pull off tricks. Just because she's on a different side doesn't mean she shouldn't be able to fool people sometimes. They've really hit on some of her weak points the last few episodes so good that at the end here she could fool Trio the Minor.

Does make me wonder if they will do something about the lack of a decent villain. Without Seiren that trio is pretty weak.

Seiren is scared of hermit crabs and ghosts. She's surprisingly sensitive too. Run away because she thought Hibiki and Kanade were bullying her - and even tell Ouji about it.

Anyway, monster umbrella negatone looks clumsy with only one leg but he's surprisingly reliable. Prevent Hibiki and Kanade from transforming, and nearly defeat two precure - if only a third one wasn't there of course. Seiren is still tricky, but she's doing it for a good purpose now. The only thing which puzzles me is why she doesn't seem bothered at all by the fact that she can't return to her original form (cat) anymore.

Yeah that umbrella was surprisingly reliable considering it had one leg. It figures the one time they think of just taking away the ability to transform that they have a third Precure to save the day.

I think there are probably a few reasons Seiren isn't making a fuss about her situation. One is that she might see this as being punishment for her actions in the past. Another is that she's so overwhelmed fitting in as a human that she doesn't have time to think about it. Might also think there will be a time to focus on that after this fight is won.

They took away the ability to transform before in Suite Precure but it didn't work due to Hummy ex machina.

They took away the ability to transform yet another time but it didn't work due to Hibiki ex machina.

Rarely the villains know what they doing and deus ex machina has to come and save the day (because there's no way to save the day that makes sense).

Spoiler for Kamen Cure Hibiki 26 - Hibiki is a Demon:

Hibiki is a demon. Originally conceived as something separate from the franchise altogether, by the time this hero made it to air, they were already a full fledged... wait, that's not what I'm supposed to be talking about. But that end of episode game of tag will give the 北条響鬼 tag more material.

A bit of role reversal going on here. Now it's Hibiki waking Hummy up for early morning note searching. This episode was very Fairy Tone-centric, but it wasn't bad. The Tones, while they may be more one character collectively than individually, are cute without being gratingly cute, and are smarter than Hummy in more than a few areas. Doesn't mean they can't be kidnapped by Trio the Minor, more on that in a second.

Mephisto doesn't rule by fear or by political agenda. If someone's not up to snuff, brainwash them. The second, third and fourth plans are also brainwashing. Making Trio the Minor brainwashed didn't make them any less ridiculous (there's still bickering, and with the new costumes - best described as Human Negatone, think 50% more skulls - they may be more ridiculous), but they are more powerful. Negatones also have black bones now.

This week, Hibiki and Kanade meet their biggest fan. So big they need Sori's Minty Fresh aura to beat it. The stakes are being raised, a little bit. Hibiki's now hearing voices in her head too. Voices that sound like Kumiko Nishihara. I had a whole set of jokes ready in case it was Rumi Ookubo's voice, but I can shelve that material for later.

Finally, Siren/Ellen discovers brain freeze. The wonders of the human body!

Next week: 30 Minutes to Save the World. I think this will be our first Precure episode presented in real time.

I really got the feeling that Ako is bound to this Cure, since her grand-pa is suspicious as hell regarding minor/major lands. But you could be totally right on that guessing.
As the official artworks got Hummy + the new cure on it I think it's unlikely.

a. Hummy - could be the necklace will turn into a precure like Ellen?
b. Ako - same eyes and hair but theirs is the problem. The color of the hair not change.

The trio probably aren't bad people at all. They got brainwashed the same way as Seiren. Antagonists have powered up, new looks and a stronger kind of negatone. Lots of action in this episode.

I'm starting to really appreciate this music themed precure series. The story is simple compared to other anime that I watch, but still enjoyable. My week is more complete after watching a new Suite episode.

Seiren does seem to regret the many bad deeds she made in the past, and it's ironic that one of the fairy tones who associate with her is named "Sori". Being human isn't much of a punishment to her though - it's easier to have activities together with her new friends, and being human form also has the benefit of being able to get close to a person that she likes (Ouji). ^_^

And Fairy Tone episode! My favorite is Fary so far, so hard to resist its cute expression when it went to Rhythm's Fantastic Belltiere saying "Fa~Fa"

A little late, but just watched the third DX movie today.

Spoiler for DX3:

For some reason, the movie didn't feel as "cramped" like in DX2, despite this one having 2 additional cures in the cast.
Anyway, the action was generally entertaining and it felt like the cures had more interaction with each other than in the previous movie.

Spoiler for Kamen Cure Hiibki 27 - Time May Not Be To Scale:

The following takes place between the half hours of 08:30 and 09:00. Mostly. Some of it is stock footage. Some of it takes place in Hibiki's fantasyland of sweets. Makes one wonder what her mind will be dreaming when she gets older and/or realizes her love for Kanade.

The idea of setting an episode in a half an hour span (pseudo real time) is a good idea, but taking the OP, ED and preview into account, it doesn't map perfectly to the 30 minute time limit the girls have, but the execution is still mostly okay. The idea today was the girls were going hiking, and Kanade left something in the oven she needed to get back to before the giant antenna broadcasts its message of doom to the world. Siren's cute in her adjusting to the human world - she had everything short of a sherpa and a sheepdog prepared for her hiking trip. In the middle of the summer. She must have been sweating up a storm in that, which is not necessarily a fetish, but might become one.

Baritone seems to be taking the lead ever since Trio the Minor got powered up. And apparently their powerup came with a goofy looking Deathbike. Have they been taking evil mastermind tips from Bandora? The plan was largely effective, though. The Fairy Tones showing signs of wear after last episode was also a nice bit of continuity. Use of the OP during battle was a nice touch. As for Hibiki, she's still hearing voices in her head. Thankfully, she's in a genre where that's a good thing.

Next week: I eat my words as Siren does transfer to Hibiki and Kanade's school, furthering the love triangle, deciding on which club she joins, and explaining to the student populace why she can scratch herself behind her ear with her leg.

If I were a shrink, Hibiki would be my top priority patient. She clearly got a food-disorder (closely to bulimia) and now she's hearing voices. Hopefully, it's a cartoon and a magical-girl one. So that's not too serious (till the plot twist about that is reveal...)

Glad to see the fairy tones having problem dealing with the loss of their notes. They seem exausted.
The thing Suite is lacking comparing to Heartcatch is the frequency of plot episodes. Motw is fine, but I need something to happen soon. Okay, Ellen just got drag into the Precure business and Trio the Mino got a power-up... but hey, i'm bored !

Maybe the most important thing we learned is finally where Seiren is living. Seems like the old guy did give her a place to stay after all. Though she definitely got carried away with understanding about hiking .

Good that at least now the Minor Trio can be semi-effective villains. Still do feel like they need someone else in order to really be a threat here. They can only get so far with each of them taking turns grabbing the leader spot and trying to do something evil.

Assuming that the timeline of this episode is after the DX3 movie. I would assume Hibiki has talked with the other cures and found out about the Kingdom of Sweets. That's why she know it's name. Too bad she visit it today only in a dream.

Anyway, this episode finally answer the place where Seiren is staying. Melody House? It's been there since ep.1 and we know it's name on 27. I guess that place was reserved just for the third cure.

And lastly, there's one advantage of being a cure. Can use the agility so you won't be late. They ran from the place with the Satellite dish to Kanade's house in just a few seconds.
