(Mostly because Shido can't focus on one girl only.... bad things like School Days would happen )

I wouldn't say the info Dump BGM is bad. It sounds military-like... it just that the scene doesn't match the BGM.

Probably more suited for other scene like preparing to "welcome" Spirit.

The pacing is really off, lots of removed scenes and weird cuts. I don't know how are the characters in the LN, but the portrayal in the anime version feels really generic and bland. The BGM is so unremarkable and out of place.

Some nice animation on Kotori and the fight though, but overall it's a really messy episode for me to enjoy.

This has to be some of the weirdest BGM choices I've heard in awhile. In the beginning, I was expecting the tune to turn into "jingle all the way". Info dump's violin thing was also just odd.

The animation on the explosions, Kotori, and fight scene were definitely more than I was expecting from this series, so that's one strong point I'll give it.

That Star Wars ending..thing...was just painful to sit through.

Outside of this, I'm not really sure what to think of this series yet. Some of it was out of place, so I'll have to give it a few more episodes to make a better judgment.

just heard of this recently and with Love Love! still on consciousness thought it is another idol series, but seems more like a cross between TWGOK & I don't know.... some inter-dimensional alien invader thingy anime

seems interesting enough, though the S&M interaction between kotori & the sub commander is kinda weird. anyway will keep watching for the meantime. but wont be expecting much.

Well, for Android Ana Maico, he only did one episode out of it, so I wouldn't say that's the most accurate judge of his mad series composition skills. (But he seems to be mostly garbage, regardless)

I know. I'm just surprised he's still in the business. It makes me wonder sometimes.... are there no other new talent to do this?

You don't get the joke: Kotori was reading it...rather than Shidou.

The tone of voice is actually perfect in context. It sounded like a really bored person who had no interest in Visual novel, being forced to read the text out to some idiot.

It is painful mostly because the Cute-style text doesn't match the voice reading it.

Edit: Like Endless Eight in Haruhi, it is artistic but not many people would get it.

Live A Live gives props for being insanely "creative" in BGM choices. (which, unusually, had a like factor in it I can't simply explain.) Anyway, I hope we get a proper with an OP / ED soon, I feel like it's gonna be wierder than the episode proper.

well i like how they didnt add beams of light to panties, shows they are not trying to raise sales for the BD releases.

Im not sure how this series is gonna unfold though...the whole thing about dating the spirit sounds corny as hell, there must be a big catch there. and that whole sister is a cammander thing is weird aswell...oh well i hope the explanation at least sounds reasonable when it comes up.

The show is as generic and mediocre as I expected it to be but I have heard a lot of good things about its LN so I hope it would get better later.
I haven't read the original source but the episode seem really rush but then again such is the fate of every adaption...

I understood the joke. I just found it unfunny, poorly executed (for reasons outside of the fact it's a pink-texted Star-Wars opening), and very painful to sit through. If the intent was to bore me and scare me away from watching the series, then it came quite close to doing so.

I think given how assertive she is, you would probably want to be under her command; which you would then proceed to disobey every single order so she will punish you severely for repeated insubordination.

Anyway , so this is the generic harem etc...... anime this season.
For a first episode , that was rather bad. The setting felt off. The joke weren't funny.
Only moe girls left with cool cat fights.
So , in the end , the ML have to train playing Dating games to save the world so he must make the girls fell in love with him ? Like a certain TWGOK
I hope they'll care to explain Kotori & Shidou first meeting..

To be fair, it was a single joke in the first episode placed at the end of the said episode while the credits were rolling, unless there are other aspects of the episode that you disliked but you didn't mention.
