Of course, Villa expelled and rejected Muginami for her own good. She's ultra naive and reckless. She really enjoyed her time on Earth, is hanging with girls her own age... and she was about to betray them for him.
He was the sensitive type as a teenager. He was probably drafted into the space army, nuked some planets but then turned on his former government when he found Muginami in the ruins of some planet. Maybe Muginami is a princess he was sent to assassinate.... who knows? Anyhow, he raised her and he let her go so she could have a better life on Earth... duh. Villa is obviously a "good guy." |

I've made a blog post about Ishihara Kaori, who plays Madoka. Pictures, videos, details of her career.
For what it's worth, this is not my impression. Maybe it's just that ANN gives me the kind of info I most want (seiyuu roles, info and links) more easily than other sites, but I keep coming back to it as the site with the most good information easiest to find. I use AniDB when I'm making season previews, and I find MAL attractive. Japanese Wikipedia is the best I can find, but it's not perfect, either. None of them are. More power to all of them.

Just watched ep 1 actually, but already feel in love with Madoka. And 10 minutes into episode 2, when Muginami was introduced, did anyone think of Agiri (the ninja in Kill me, baby)?

Madoka got told!!!
Honestly, I was getting really pissed at her during the first half of the episode (which is a good thing, because we're finally seeing her character flaws!!), so I loved when Muginami said exactly what I was thinking. I mean, Madoka had the best of intentions: she just wanted to do something for Muginami. However, no matter how good your intentions may be, if you don't know anything about those you want to help, your actions will always end up being self-centered. So yeah, all my love to Muginami, and I really really hope Madoka will learn from this experience. She desperately needs to learn to think before she acts, specially about how her actions affect the people around her. The way she brushed off Lan's comment about Villa was pretty awful too (if consistent with her character), but again, it highlights her flaws so it's a "good" thing. Now it's time to grow, Madoka!! EDIT: I wasn't sure whether I liked this series before. NOW though, I really like it!!

It's like I'm watching Matsumae Ohana from Hanasaku Iroha whenever Madoka makes rash decisions. I love the fact that Muginami pointed out her inconsiderate behaviour, good intentions don't always justify your actions.
Other than that...am I the only one who thinks that the smiling alien advisor might be up for something? I dunno, I have the feeling that he will be one of the driving forces behind the conflict (whatever the conflict is).
