Are you using Windows or Mac? On Mac they are called Apps and most legit ones you can get from the Apple Store. I guess the most popular widget is the one that gives you sticky notes but that auto comes with Windows 7 and Mac Lion.

How to decrease the number of files in my computer?

When I received my computer as a gift the number of files are around 300k, now its around 600k, I'm a downloader but I also delete those that were unnecessary. Any solution?

Delete the whole Downloads folder. If it bothers you that much this is what you must do.

Also delete cookies and stuff from your web browser.

Or get a harddrive tower with ~1 to 2 TB and store downloads in there.

where are these files? Are they mostly downloads?

I can't find them actually... I delete files in the download folder as soon as they're coverted... my guess probably could be its either the updates or the logs... and also I do frequent Disk cleanup and Folder cleaner softwares...

Converted? So you convert the files and keep the converted files around? Maybe those are taking up too much space.

If not then you may have something, but I am quite sure it is your usage habits taking up space. Check the size of some problem folders (right-click then Properties on Windows iirc), like Downloads, Videos, and wherever you keep your cartoons.

I don't mind space actually.. its the number of files that I'm worried about.... imagine this, 300,000 added files... I don't mean videos but different kind of files. I think videos are counted as one file right? I got around 500 videos and I don't think they are the solemnly responsible to the 300k increase....I think they're program files. I wanted to delete them.

Well that is weird. I'd suggest running an antivirus sweep on your system. If you don't have one, Microsoft Security Essentials (only download from windows.microsoft.com !) and AVG2013 are free.

The anime has finished airing. I think the manga is still being published.

Thanks, I knew the manga couldn't end so soon.

Crunchyroll refers to a cruncy roll of sushi? Does it have fried onions in it?

Don't worry about the amount of files. It's a meaningless metric for any regular user and reducing that count brings you nothing to gain. What you should worry about is hard drive space usage.

  1. Are drill Sergeants really as tough as they say?
  2. What would be example of crude but effective fighting style?

1. Yes. Drill sargents need to break you into liquid teats, then build you up again like a true Marine.
2. Karate is a good choice if you don't wantt to use guns.

Why is mother "mama" in about every language?

Krav Maga. Not pretty, not fancy, but cold and effective.
