Well there is 2 ep1. If parody/dream ep1 isn't to your liking, try the other ep1. No subs but the raw is available in the usual places.

I absolutely love SHnY episode 1. The same for this. Druaga episode 1 is absolutely great.

I don't think there's any fantasy anime this season with dragons, orcs, mages, warriors, healers and stuff other than this one and angelique. But angelique is shoujo so it kind of sucks. So even if this isn't good, it's still good because of lack of anime to choose from.

Most anime of this genre start off with the main character being weak so that they can have a story on how powerful he becomes by facing obstacles. The anime usually show that the main character will become the most powerful or he has a lot of potential by the same episode it is shown that he is weak.

Your avatar is kekaishi which starts off as the main character being weak also. Bleach, Naruto, History's strongest disciple, etc all start with their main character being stomped upon by really strong guys then the main character becomes stronger through training or hardships he faced and then he start to pwn some people while the people that pwn him before starts staring at him with a dumbfounded look.

Personally, I thought episode 1 was funny and enjoyable, while episode 2 sucked major a$$. Mostly because it showed that the hero is the stereotypical brain-dead moron. Episode 3 continues right where episode 2 left off, proving once again that having brains and being a hero are mutually exclusive propositions. And that it takes real stupidity to act heroic.

Really too bad that his brother saved his but, if it had been just him, he would have stuck around and been executed for rank stupidity. At least they're finally setting off, hopefully things start to look up beginning in the next episode.

Well it is modeled after a game so stupidity is good and should be expected. For example, in FF, FF tactics, ogre battle, and most rpg games, we are given a choice and we have to pick from a list of options. The right choice which will lead to a better item or new areas is always the stupidest one. Choices like letting your most hated evil enemy be free instead of killing him or choosing the most dangerous route instead of the the safest one.

So if this was a game, and you are given a choice
1. stay home and forget about the assassination plot,
2. tell or convince a guard there's an assassination plot.
3. Go to the palace to get the assassin, save the king and be a hero.

Which choice is the stupidest, which one would most people pick and which choice has the highest chance of getting an item?

Also in the beginning, he was looking for group and he was in the place where adventurers were gathering. So if this is a game, you get a choice.
1. Start asking people one at a time if they are willing to help you get to the top of the tower.
2. Pay someone to take you to the top?
3. Talk to that guard and he will give you more 2 more options:
a. Go to the stage and make a speech.
b. Do nothing.

Conan-san Cruel Angel's Thesis Join Date: Oct 2004	Ok, just saw the CR. Spoiler: So, it appears that Sucubuss or whatever, knows Neeba and is taunting him/egging him on to defeat Duraga. To what end, I don't know. Kyaa and Jil have a moment, she states that she wants to climb the tower to heal a previously unheard brother who's been bedridden, however, she quickly states that's a lie only to double back on said statement. I siverly hope Kyaa/Ishara will quit buggering around with Jil but I assume that the MGS me does of being used is goign to end up being a theme of the series.

Most experienced aside from her if Jil, the guy that got fired after 1 day . Going to be quite the trip up the tower. Had a rough first day, but everyone came together when it counted. Would have been the rational choice to split up and at least save some of the party. After how things went with their first monster encounters couldn't have that much faith in fighting the opponents head on. But good speech by Jil to get everyone to stand together no matter what. After all if they split up some will die and the rest will have to give up making it to the top. Do wonder what Kaaya's motives are. The talk about her brother was confirmed and denied enough times that I have little clue. Also Neeba has some acquaintances in the tower as well it seems . Fatina almost had a heart attack, but had enough weaponry to start blasting away regardless. Still had to be quite the shock that Jil and co actually managed to win. Can't come to the rescue all the time so seeing that they handled themselves just fine should be a relief. Probably thinks that even if he can't make it, just maybe Jil has what it takes after all. __________________ Anime-Evo
