I agree that, perhaps (to me is not a problem), it's the only issue. If you ask me, I like it more than DxD or Blade Dance, for example...
I agree with SoloPanda that the amount of people here on the forum don't represent statistically the world. What I meant was that if you hear here, the novel is so bad that it should sell a pittance, given that since the early 4-5 volumes there are very huge problems ...but it's not so, in Japan. And I don't think that the Japanese are masochists and will buy things that are disgusting, not everyone at least. And the number of sales is the only real data that one can bring. |

Okay Tor is the only major issue but lets face it thats a pretty big major issue where so much comes through what is a very pathetic Tor. Other minor issues are nitpicky opinions. But i've never seen so many people put a series on blast as they did Duo

I wouldnt call the miyabi arc a minor nitpick but i agree its minor in comparison to tor.
i think the unanimous blasting of duo had to do with budget or lack therof on top of the source material being mediocre. It also didnt help that ln anime were flooding in at that time. |

Spoiler for Sarcasm:
On a serious note, If I'm reading a story and it's catching a lot of hate in the forums I honestly just avoid forums about that story because it can either effect my view on the story negatively or it can just make me angry to see someone being so negative towards something I really like. In both cases it decreases my enjoyment of the story. Sometimes these people are right and a story really is bad, but that's not something I like to find out from others. I like to enjoy the story and the flow and if that turns bad I will find out myself without being told what to think by the online community.

In my opinion, AD in and of itself isn't bad at all, AD, so far, done a proper job at settings and plot, you do not feel any asspull when you read deep into the story and the action is good, the main problem of AD is MC, Tooru. He, to put it simple, contrasted himself to his own setting( avenger) and his personality also played a part in that.
Leaving Tooru aside, there is not many problem with AD in general, the story is ok enough, while not being the best, but it can hold it own. Seriously, reading Riki post here might make me go back into translation business, i really need that N1. |

If I can't read this for Tooru, I'll read this because of Lilith. And who knows, Tooru could improve in future volumes.
The problem now is, who will translate? Gonna continue this will waiting on Unlimited Fafnir and Magika.

Used to be one. quit later due to fan pressured and circumstance, though at that time i was more of a scanlator. Back on the topic, main point is we are waiting for the moment of truth, which is to say, when Tooru past catching up with him, if he evolved as a character, than it's all good and all but if he isn't even then .... |
