That would be impossible, as Saikoroshi-hen contuines on from the ending of Matsuribayashi-hen. Time line wise it would not work.

The other way around also wouldn't work, as we know what happens to Hanyuu at the end of Miotsukushi-hen.


Besides, doing Miotsukushi-hen would mean that they are going to have to repeat alot of the same material that was shown already in Matsuribayashi-hen. I rather they work on the material that they left out from the question arcs, and maybe just do a "fumoffu"-ish season. They can also work on drama-cd material...

Mmmm, lets hope they decide to put saikoroshi in the 3rd season, I want to see how rika reacts to the perfect world hanyuu creates, also sukekomashi and hirukowashi would be really awesome and funny, I want onisarashi but could it be possible since almost all tragedy already ended? And I dont think miotsukushi is possible but I aprove the idea, and also want to see the "not so good ending" xOx

Actually, here's a thought: it's Higurashi no Naku Koro ni's third season. It's NOT, however, given the Kai suffix. Thus, it could actually detail events that happened BEFORE Kai (Onisarashi-hen, for example)

This is seriously awesome news, I check oyashirosama for the first time in ages only to find out there is not only a movie announced, but also a third season! Unbelievable! And I was just going to be so sad as I'm finishing up the second season right now.

I really wonder what will be in it, lost arcs? New material? Crossover with new novels seems unlikely. I'd love to see the untold stories.

This has me wondering: I'm on episode 20 now, should I wait until release and watch season 3 before finishing the rest of Kai? It may just answer too many things even though I feel I can clearly see where this is going. So, as above.. Do you think waiting and watching season 3 first would be worth it?

Cause I'm burning for higurashi fix, but if the ending would be better having seen s3, then I'd love to watch it in that order.

Well if you want to wait for season 3 to air and then watch the final episodes of season two go ahead. I think it would be better to finish season 2 and then wait for season 3.
