Episode 72 was very nice. It demostrates that good fillers can be made, if a good director and writer is working on the project.

Well, Fairy Tail's the type of story that won't be ruined/thrown off track by fillers like these, in fact, it can be made up with dozens of these fillers and, if done right, we would hardly tell the difference if we didn't have the manga to fall back on.

But I really don't care either way.

I like how they brought back the 'Unison Raid' magic fusion. It was awesome to see Lucy and Juvia do it - and since Gray and Juvia are so compatible, magic wise, it was a nice touch. Still want to see a Natsu/Erza Unison Raid though.

Actually, Natsu/ Erza/Gray Unison Raid would be awesome - would be like Haru's Blue Crimson move but...better.

Really like the teamwork between Juvia and Grey, to bad the guy left after the attack or he would have heard Juvia's admitting her feelings for him. As expected, Nastu breaks free from the dragonoid with some taunting from his friends (and an attack from Erza and Gageel). Arc ends with the usual Fairy Tail antics we have come to expect from the group.

This episode reveals Daphne's full motivations... I have no idea if it'll cause continuity issues later but I liked how her motivations contrasted with Natsu's. If you can't meet a dragon make a dragon. As an anime only viewer Gray seemed to conform to previous characterization. So I'm OK with what seemed to be the biggest fear at the start of the arc. Carla doesn't seem to like Wendy doing anything though. She's doing stuff next episode though. Gajeel pulled a cool moment near the end I was wondering where he was last episode. Although it did seem kind of hypocritical for Erza to talk about not sacrificing oneself. __________________ MAL Profile

Let's get for example only one thing. Gray heard that dragonoid was indestructible, but for a dragon slayer's power from the inside. (BTW HS' TL is pretty bad formed here, because it can be taken actually in both ways. Using "except" here would be a lot better. But even reversing it does not make the story more dumb...) Fairy Tail is not the most brilliant manga/anime, but why the hell Daphne would say such thing to a stranger? Ridiculous. Why Gray would believe completely some stranger? Ridiculous. Why Erza was trying to destroy the red core and she could leave some scratches there? Ridiculous. And why Gajeel was able to destroy red core of this dragonoid? Ridiculous? I can go on, but it's pointless and time wasting. --- So while the visual part was mostly nice in the last ep of Bad Gray arc, the whole story sucks really hard. Maybe general idea was not the worst, but implementation and details are just terrible.

Ash Falls Town Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Adelaide Age: 36	Spoiler for New OP/ED: OK I said last OP had less spoilers than OP 5 but that turned out to be wrong in hindsight so I'm not going to comment on how spoilery it is. Anyway next arc seems to be a dream world arc what with the floating continents and Moe!Natsu, Lisanna and GB!Lucy clones. It also seems like it'll focus on Carla and Wendy's relationship with Mystogan (who seems angry at her). There's also a new man in a cape. There's also a new group of villains who they've kept pretty under raps plus more cats. Ending is a Carla ending. Spoiler for Episode 73: First part was pretty standard Fairy Tail comedy. Although the part with Lucy and Wendy was nice. The second part was happy guild stuff mixed with Lucy flashbacking to scenes she wasn't at... Although it was sad how Natsu wasn't able to enjoy himself at all. But what he did for Lucy at the end was really sweet. Also Nab got the most focus he's ever gotten. The next EP preview shows a lot of Freed so no idea how that'll turn out. __________________ MAL Profile

Was pretty funny to have Wendy and Lucy huddling inside the clock during most of the mission. No shock at all when Lucy came down with a cold after all that wandering around. One of these days she's really going to need to ask where the mission is so she can dress warmly. Though really Wendy was more amazing since she wore as little as the rest of the group and was fine. Nice job by Natsu and Happy at the end of the episode. No surprise Natsu was bothered by this whole thing. He wasn't that excited about it, but he knew how much Lucy was. At least he came up with a pretty touching way to at least bring one of the most important parts of the day to her. Overall not a bad episode. Probably the biggest stuff was the OP which was probably pretty good for spoilers and a Carla ED. __________________ Anime-Evo

Juvia and her flooding tears are always a nice laugh. The return of Gajeel on guitar was the best. Felt bad for Lucy in the second half. Pink-chan 世界の明日のために Join Date: Dec 2005	This is such a great episode. Spoiler for Ep.73 and Edolas: I really love Gajeel and his guitar :P Natsu is the best. That is so sweet of him and just like him to come up of this method to present a girl with flowers let Lucy see the sakura. That contradict ep.50 where he asked Lucy out as he needed Lucy's Virgo to dig things up when he is able to dig up a tree by himself! There are just too much spoilers in OP and ED as usual. I like how they feature Edo-Lucy and even Edo-Natsu as the latter was casted somewhere even not appearing in Edo-Fairy Tail group picture going on battle.
