my hard ware fell
i have a hard disk and it was connected to the computer then it fell and i tried connecting it again several times but the drives wont show on my computer
is it over or could it be fixed becuse i had important stuff on it and when i connect it to the computer i makes a wierd sound of clicking ????will it work again |

If you have a spare hdd of the same model you can try to exchange the circuit board. It could be possible that the platters and actuator-arms inside are still working. But first you can check, if something broke of from the circuit board of the hdd (or maybe a cable to the stuff inside is loose).

Ah the click of death.
Ok the freezer trick (sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't) get an antistatic bag place HDD in antistatic bag seal the bag as airtight as possible place in freezer over night install HDD again (be quick) remove and copy all files to another HDD If it works you have maybe 1/2 an hour to recover data. http://geeksaresexy.blogspot.com/200...over-data.html
