Director OMORI Takahiro also did Durarara.

Writer HANADA Jukki is one of the top hands, and did the adaptation for the subtle and hilarious (for some, including me) Seitokai no Ichizon, as well as sola and Rozen Maiden.

On the basis of those, the story outline, and having Hanazawa Kana, Saiga Mitsuki, Suwabe Junichi, Noto Mamiko, and Koyasu Takehito in the cast, this is one of my top picks for the season. Five Leaves and Shiki were my favorite shows of the previous two seasons, so this could make three in a row for noitaminA.

Kozue, is that you in the fifth vid?

I can't get over how fantastic the fall noitaminA line-up is shaping up to be. I know it hasn't made me that excited for a looong time.

I definitely thought about Kozue in the second vid. Even the eyes look the same.

There's a cast interview around, with a good photo of much of the main cast:

front (l-r): Saiga Mitsuki (Koibuchi Kuranosuke), Oomori Takahiro (director), Morohoshi Sumire (age 11, Clara), Hanazawa Kana (Tsukimi).
rear: Saitou Kimiko (Chieko), Okamura Akemi (Mayaya), Kumai Motoko (Banba-san), Noto Mamiko (Jiji-sama), Miyashita Eiji (?).

Except for the seemingly "normal" main character Tsukimi, the text describes the women as each a kind of otaku, with a love for a particular thing or topic. Chieko loves Japanese things. Mayaya: Three Kingdoms. Banba-san: railroads. Jiji-sama: older men. Clara: Tsukimi.

I find lots of things to notice in the photo. HanaKana's normal slightly sidelong glance. Her shoes and short socks. Saiga Mitsuki's normal masculine clothing. And her shoes. The director's very informal attire. The young seiyuu's open, happy look. Noto-kawaii's unshakeable formality. The range of people's dress, from very casual to fairly "nice."

Not helping that Funi hasn't said anything about the time/dates, they're being awfully tight lipped about any new simulcasts this season.

Y'know, it suprised me that a series with this plot managed to win awards. I'm not saying that the plot is dull, far from it, but I just don't understand how it could carry past one volume. I'm gonna watch this mostly to satiate my own curiosity. How about you guy's? Curiosity or genuine interest?

Watching it because it's handled by Brain's base and Hanazawa Kana is in it. The premise sounds a little interesting and I like what I've seen of it so I'm curious to see what the real series will be like. Curiosity it is.
