Seeing her with the 4 others, I think Aki would make a great addition to the Precure team. Lots of jokes from her fanatism for Homare, yet character development allowed by finding her true self instead of copying senpai...

It's not that I don't like the kid. It's just so forced into us...

Still some good bits of development. Saaya's competitive streak vs Lulu was pretty amusing. Not to mention that Lulu herself actually got pulled into it. Between that and her enjoying looking after the kids at certain points there is more to her than even Lulu herself realizes. And hey apparently Harry can survive in space. That could be handy someday .

Referring to the part I put in bold. Yeah. that's a good ability.. he doesn't even need a space suit.

A rather dramatic Homare episode. Harry can be a real gentleman / gentlehamster sometimes.. the way he took the umbrella to Homare.

Violent end to the episode. Lulu helped them and paid the price.

Looking forward to next week.

Well I am glad to see how things worked out with Lulu. Though kind of wish they'd given the awesome action/animation to the latest episode rather than the one preceding it.

Still power of love conquers all

. Effectively Lulu busted through the limits of her programming and developed a heart. And darn it you can't delete someone's heart! It was kind of nice also to limit things to a two-phase rescue. First fighting off Lulu long enough for her memories to re-awaken. Then they could transition to the second phase. Lulu being inflicted with literal pain from her guilt of having deceived everyone. No doubt still growth to come since there's no way she isn't becoming a Precure.

Nicely done. Also hey apparently the show is shipping Homare and Harry. Weirdly I'm not bothered by this

A little different from the other episodes. The action starts much earlier. In the end they manage to save Lulu.

Just a bit worrying, since she's a robot.. maybe the evil corporation can make more of her?

A good episode and a needed one. Needed to tackle some aftermath.

I have to respect how Lulu has such a good sense of responsibility. Some might have shrugged off or refused to even do anything about the memory alteration business. But she felt horrible, fixed the memories, and presumed she'd be thrown out for such actions. Of course Hana's family (and in particular her mother) are all awesome people so they roll with it, but Lulu felt the weight of her actions.

She's also pretty on her game in terms of making sure secret identities aren't leaked by reckless individuals

. They are doing a nice job with Lulu's arc though. Yes it's handy to have good people that can forgive her, but they aren't just glossing over things since the girl herself still feels the weight of her actions. Obviously we know where she's going to end up as part of the team, but no rush on getting there.

Yukari Tamura's voice started sounding like Nanoha when Lulu is singing. Well, she has a good voice anyway.

I see Toei still hasn't gotten over the terrible habit of showing major spoilers in their episode previews...

Really guys, even though we could predict it was going to happen, couldn't you have at least waited to give us the full dramatic reveal?

In other news... the bond between Emiru and Lulu is really great to see. The two of them balance each other out well, and continually support each other. All things considered, it wouldn't surprise me if they become one of those Precure pairs that have to transform together.

Watched episode 19:

Lulu and Emiru look good together. Henri did not argue when he was insulted in school, but he helped when Emiru is being harassed by evil oniichan - he knows the right time to fight back. He has good development even if only a side character.

I did not look when someone posted spoilers of the 2 new cures, because I did not want to be spoiled... but I guess there's no escape from TOEI's spoilers... I guess they can't wait to show the kids what the new cures looked like. hoho

And lastly, a corporation employee that Lulu does not know about... could this person be from the future too?

Episode 20:

PRECURE GA KITA!

Emiru and Lulu's bond is so amazing. Neither one could even consider taking the preheart and becoming a precure while leaving the other behind, and the power of their feelings brought about a miracle. More, their combined transformation feels incredibly intimate, and the song they sang while fighting was all about how much they love each other. On top of that, even, according to some folks on reddit, if you combine their precure names you get Ma chérie d'amour, which roughly translates to "my dear love" or "my darling." Someone is pulling out every shipping flag they can find for these two.

As for me, maybe I'm just a softy, but I love seeing emotion triumph over adversity, the power of friendship and/or love accomplishing the impossible. This is a great episode in my eyes.

I think that worked pretty well. There is definitely something being built up to through this. Huggtan was near obsessed with the two of them being a duo. And we know something is special about Huggtan. So I wasn't all that shocked when a mysterious entity of light (and seemingly made up of future power) appeared and gave them both a transformation device.

While I thought they might just share one, this works fine as well. And I did love seeing those two debut in song and kicking butt. It works. Music started building the real connection with Lulu and Emiru so it works that they started out singing while fighting. Not something I think they'll do often or even do again, but it worked here.

I just enjoyed it as a whole. They built up the drama of the two of them both starting to embrace wanting this for themselves, but also not wanting to take it from the other. It finally reached a head and they found a solution.

Did not expect another transformation device to be made. Lulu and Emiru look good together, and their goth loli style costumes are cute! Nice song and dance too.

Now... Emiru dreamed of becoming a cure, and now she's one... I feel this trope had been used a lot, although I can't think of a show. Someone who dreams to be superhero and become a real one. I think she might try to do some crazy things next week.

EDIT:

Oh, and forgot to say... when they said "Futari wa precure!" reminded me so much of the original precures Nagisa and Honoka. A bit of nostalgia from this episode. ^^
