Episode 6: The Melancholy of Sasasasasa...
Well, this was a decent though rather rushed episode. I mean you get Sasami talking about the importance of teamwork, and then Riki telling her about it 3 minutes later. And then Riki must stay in catworld with her cuz, I dunno, I guess it's Riki. Also, I swear in a few scenes Riki's trying to smooth talk her like he's trying to hit on her. Oh Riki, you subtle little bastard. So they try for the mad dash to get Sasami to hope Kengo will reach her... You're insane! This is a JC staff anime. I can't just be forthright with my own feelings! We don't have 3 seasons to waste on you though. Shockingly, Kengo does get wind of it. But sadly before we could have gotten some Kengo x Sasami action, the plot doesn't like this and literally just boots Kengo out. I don't get a love scene even when it makes sense. I hate you people So it turns out the point of the plot was to force Sasami to admit she had forgotten and abandoned about her lost cat Kuro. Wow, that's pretty cliche and contrived, but this is Key and that's what they do. It turns out Kuro doesn't want Sasami to get too close and it looks like it's rejecting her. See, abandoning Kuro is never the right choice! But what can I expect from you inconsiderate fools? But with Riki's help, and the episode about to end we get a tearful reuniting and shit. And at long last can Sasami have her name in the credits. And all I needed was a sob story! First I'll finish cooking! And then the world! Overall, it wasn't really much, but at least it was mildly meaningful and had its moments. Yea, I guess it's old hat by now, but that doesn't make it bad. Also...

I would be devastated if I had to leave a cat behind like that.
