Liked the episode. Art is much better compared to the LN, at least to me. Brother bear is, well....Brother bear. My only nitpick is that they didn't explain the details of Nemesis' skills, I hope they'll do in the next episode.

I was cautiously interested in this because despite it looking like fairly bogstandard Light Novel "quality", it had a lot of people saying it was good but I should not have listened because that was 22 minutes of bland and cringe, even for Light Novel standards. I'm incredibly short on time right now and I just wasted it on that.

I wonder if that full dive VR is like our flying car. Two decades from now, we'll be there, looking back, and thinking "did we really think it would be possible? What suckers we were."

Infinite Dendrogram is indeed one of the best LN out there right now in my humble opinion. Even if you didn't like the anime, don't doubt that.

Don't give up on the dream so quick. I'm still pulling for flying cars by 2080.

And they are speaking the truth and do not just this show by its cover yet.
It is one of the best LN in shounen genre that is still on going right now that happens to play all the old tricks right.

Mentioning a rare, hidden, Embryo-type to our main protagonist? I'm sure that won't be relevant .

You know you're low level when the typical Anime Meet Cute of two people crashing into each other almost kills you .

It's cool we're getting a brother dynamic in this with the Starlight brothers. They seem to get along well .

I guess the developers just really wanted to cement the immersion level by making the AI's both intelligent enough to seem real and capable of permadeath. Although to me it just seems like a recipe for sadness .

I was told there was a giant bearman with a gatling gun. I was not disappointed .

That moment when your special move needs time to buff in the middle of a fight and you can't move during it .

So is Nemesis' ability able to redirect the energy of an attack she's received? That was my impression of it .

Ray lucked out with landing an Embryo that is both rare and turns out to be exceptionally beautiful to boot. That she's a prideful and sassy lady is even more of a positive in my book. If she's as close as we get to a Main Heroine, I'm happy .

That's why i don't want smart AI with ego in any game i play. I even avoid killing unique NPC in skyrim . Sometime it take a lot of effort to save NPC from Vampire and Dragon raid .

This anime wasn't death game like SAO , but the morality is high in this one. The MC have a reason to not lose while he wasn't forced to play a death game .

That doesn't say much.

Enjoyed the first episode, even if the synopsis seemed a bit dry and oh, another vr series..

The MC is decent, and he has a catchphrase so that's nice. Even if life-like, some might not care sincce they're still NPCs, unless there's a twist where they're not actually NPCs, but we see.

Girl turning into a sword, okay.
Right now, gonna continue to see how varied the Stands are in this series.

It's possible the rich will have very compact aircrafts. But commute for the common man? No. And it would be a dystopian future anyway to have a large number of those flying in at low altitudes. (Think of the noise. And all the crashes provoked by people texting and piloting, or joyriding.)

First episode made me pretty doubtful about this novel supposed excellence. Bear brother was cool, but he not cool enough carry whole thing. Protagonist getting cheat embryo pretty much took away any tension. Nemesis should have been much weaker given Ray level. It could be interesting if it were something creative instead and result looked like sub-bar novel (there is plenty of actually good ones).

On other note I found sort silly have Ray drink potions. Centipede would one-shot him and those items prevent actual finishing blow anyway. I wouldn't blame novel though. This seem more as matter of lacking explanation on anime side due time constraint. I am quite curious why he drunk them.

^The dragon scales only reduce 90% of the damages. So he still gets 10%. (the fatal blow one is the Brooch, and he gave it to Milianne to protect her)

Also, the thing that was sure to be said with the anime coming: Nemesis being OP.

That's totally wrong. Unfortunately the anime won't be long enough to see the true OP ones, but it'll show a few. And you'll see, that Nemesis is nothing lol.
The reason of his victory should be explained in next episode. (at least I hope. They already skipped many things, so they might even skip the skills explanation...)
