Really? When did they say that, I know they had plans for a Feris nendo but I never heard anything about a Okabe figma.

It was during one of their Q&A things. Someone lettered in asking about an Okabe figma and she said it was a great idea with a winky sort of smiley.

Is S;G going to get a BD/DVD release from Funi? I'd love to see a special limited edition from them. I'd buy that shit instantly

Yes, but it's Funi so there's no telling if it'll be this year, next year, or the year after.

No specific details of the US release have been announced yet. However, based on previous release history, Funimation will likely release S;G in two parts. Then at a later time, they'll release a complete box. That's how Funi tends to release its 24-26 episode series.

That's one ugly figure, seriously. It just looks disturbing when it's trying to look realistic with the fake hair and stuff.

Is that a new figure coming out?

All we know is that they have a release window of fall 2012, along with unconfirmed stuff with the ova. (since they never said in the press release if they got the ova since it was never broadcasted)

$5 says they release more info at AX since that's when they picked up the rights last year. Plus there's a lot of buzz going around about something big happening.

Just Funimation from what people have told me.

Plus AX is one of the biggest cons and right in the middle of con season. Funimation said they had a lot in store over all but couldn't say anything at Acen or the earlier cons this year.

It's been a while since there's been a post here I guess, so I'll just post some new stuff, though ppl may already know this.
Jast USA has announced that they'll be bringing the Steins; Gate visual novel to America, and the team that did the fan translation will be the ones translating it too.
Not sure if this has been posted yet, but the Steins; Gate movie will be released on DVD/Blu-ray December 13. I saw on CD Japan that the movie will also be region-free and come with English subtitles. Bonuses for different shops and more info here: http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-new...ease-scheduled
