Gold Experience Requiem FINALLY explained:

@13:33 - I recommend you watch the entire video so you can understand what set it off in the first place.

That was quite a good finale. I don't get exactly the point of the flashback case or how Mista survived to such a big fall, but it was a nice conclusion. Maybe that arrow was too convenient but I found it better than Part 3 when Jotaro could handle time at the last second. Epic part. Looking forward to Part 6.

Also

Bucciarati: Sir, we don't kill people.
Half of the villains: Wait, you don't?

Diavolo suffers the worst fate out of any Jojo antagonists. Sentenced to die over and over again in different ways for all eternity. Kars being stranded in space is cute in comparison.

The point of the final case is that although fate can't be changed, you may find meaning in fighting against it. Abbacchio, Bucciarati and to a lesser extent Narianca all found redemption and peace in helping Trish and trying to get rid of the evil that was Diavolo.

I was hoping they would change Giorno's outfit for the final scene, I guess coloring it black is better than nothing.

Giorno well and truly defeated Diavolo, with Gold Experience Requiem subjecting him to constantly repeating cycles of brutal and ridiculous deaths unto eternity. For everything Diavolo has done to Giorno and his comrades, it's as fitting an end as any, and a cruel fate that Diavolo has more then earned .

It was nice to see the rest of the gang again, Fugo, Abacchio, and Narancia. I know this is probably from the manga but production-wise it means they likely had the full cast together again for the final recording, which is nice .

Scolippi...the sculptor. Yeah, I'm sure it took him a while to figure out his career path .

You kind of have to feel bad for the guy. He has no control of his Stand and it just randomly follows people around, telling them their fates, and killing them if they touch it. It cost the guy his girlfriend to boot. No wonder he seems to have surrendered to the harshness of fate .

So Mista's interference prolonged Bruno's death, but also changed fate to where Abacchio and Narancia eventually died as well...but ultimatley it was that path that led to the team redeeming themselves, stopping Diavolo, and saving Trish. So, all's well that ends well ?

Mista and Trish's out-of-body experience has seemed to improve their relationship considerably. Trish even laughed .

Polnareff lives! Sure, it's in the body of a turtle, but that's something. Who would've thought Polnareff would end up dying, possessing a body of a turtle, and then end up working for a mafioso? I wish Jotaro could see this .

Hey look, the wind...it's golden. Golden Wind !

Cool! Rolling Stones and Gold Experience Requiem made it into the Ending .

We didn't get much of an epilogue, skipping ahead to Giorno becoming the Gangstar he always dreamed of being with a nice black suit to go along with it, Mista and Polnareff at his side. Kinda wonder what happened to Trish (or Fugo), but they didn't have much time left I guess. Kinda wish we had gotten to see more but I guess they got all the main points out of the way .

Now, onwards to Part 6 .

So basically, it was all Mistas' fault, yet he ended up being the true winner in the end... What?

Mista unknowingly changed fate to his own advantage. He screwed over his team and didn't even know it .

Somebody brought to my attention that this entire part 5 takes place in the span of about 8 days.
Giorno boy went from street punk to a god in just over a week

Seriously? I know we've been watching it over a few months but that's what it felt like in-universe too. Must be the adrenaline .

Diavolo got one not just one of the worst fates of any Jojo villiam, but one of the worst fates of any anime villain.

Not really sure what was the point of the flashback, but that was a good finale.

I don't think the flashback was somewhat necessary but oh well.

I actually don't understand completely what the fuck GER did.

Polnareff is alive! as a turtle but maybe is better that in a cripple body?

Poor Mista, in the epilogue seems his smile and optimism are gone.

At the end Giorno being Dio son was never touched and only was used as a means to conect him to the Joestar, is a shame. I actually can think of others ways of use it but that would mean instead of GER.

And Giorno becomes The Godfather.

Ok, I'm gonna skip this chapter in manga, seems whatever it was the anime improve it, so to read Part 6!

One of Jojo's bigger themes was Nurture vs Nature. Will someone choose to do Evil because the circumstance made him do it, or will he do it because he was born evil. Giorno ultimately chose to do right, well as a mafia mobster, because of the kindness shown by that unknown gangster. Had it not happen, he may have chosen to use his powers for evil. He overcame his Inner Dio and chose to be more like Jonathan.

Well it's finally over. The last two episodes concludes the 39-episode Golden Wind saga.

They had several chapters to adapt including at least 3 for the series' finale. Diavolo's defeat took on an interesting style. Bucciarati also took care of business like usual. Kinda funny and sad to see Sex Pistols one last time in this show. I'm going to miss that little guy.

Good to see familiar faces in the finale. (including Trish and even Polnareff) It's been such a journey that they made it so far. Those memories with Bucciarati and the gang won't be forgotten. I doubt they'll announce Stone Ocean this year but someday, it's going to happen. Just a matter of time.

I do think Araki could have done more with Giorno being Dio's son. After the first few episodes, it became completely irrelevant. Polfnareff never even found out about it.

And it wasn't Mista's fault that Abacchio and Narancia died. It just turned out that the sculptor's idea that destroying the stone could change fate was wrong. Bucciarati, despite sticking around longer as a zombie, was the first to die (the stone even showed the exact way Diavolo killed him) so that's why he appeared on the stone first.

Objection! As a result of now being an animal, Polnareff should be renamed "Turtlneff"
