Hmm, I have to say, the trailer did sort of make me get excited for the show now. Still, not entirely sure about the designs yet, but everything it s=looking very nice thus far (aside from the aliens, I still think they look stupid)

They are though.

@ what Kaioshin posted
Where is that from? The man does raise a lot of great points though (points and arguments that many fans had already raised though, even in this thread) and he is right that we shouldn't really pass judgment yet on things we don't know for sure. But I will say that the show still does strike me as being kid oriented at least design wise, and I don't like the aliens designs (though the humanoid ones look much better imo) Still, good stuff.

And that's not necessarily a bad thing, I'm watching some anime that supposed for "kids" since last year or so, and I must said I'm enjoying the "passion" on its, maybe the Gundam franchise need that kind of passion afterall.

huh ... so you can mix and match Arms, legs, wais, head and core with any models in this Age line.. interesting! Also, seems easier to build, closer to First Grade, but with HG level of detail. Nice...
Also, let me just say that this whole Haro-Scan thing looks sexy too bad it's japan only EDIT: uuuh... anyone else noticed that they JUST annouced the next SD Gundam G Generation Game with that Press Release? Is this one for the PS3? if i understood correctly, 15 Series (Including Age 1), 450 units, is that right???? Last edited by bells; 2011-06-13 at 02:36. |

there is a lot of merchandising abuot this new gundam series,a lot of merchandising...
...too much merchandising... MG Age Gundam had to exit after finishing the MG Wing Series, mostly MG Altron and Heavy arms custom... about it,the only thing that interest me is the "three generation".. the only new thing in Gundam series.. |

While I do hold the belief that one should hold other people's opinions equally, one-liners that serve only to point out a negative opinion without exposition as to why they hate something and declare something as "crap" is something I strongly dislike, and only has the effect of acting as flamebait.

It sure look like dramatic series, even if it may be aiming for younger audiences. Still I like what I've seen so far. And I guess the lead is 14 years old, which is not too far off the average 16 year old default we usually see.
And he is seen piloting it right? If it is, then we could putthe contol with devices thing to rest I also like the Age's red and blue and red variants much more in the standard lineart pose we see. Having said that , I still like the base design much more than those two at the moment. Now that I think about it, I'm much more surprised that people are not reacting much the fact that aliens are going to be in this. One may usually expect a heavy "aliens in Gundam" discussion/debate if such a thing were to happen.

After watching the trailer, I'm somehow exited about it
But all of the marchandising already planned let me feel a bit uncomfortable, I must say It's just like Sunrise-Bandai is too much focused on the money aspect even before seeing if it's gonna be a success or a failure. Wait and see like the other would say |

It does look good, plot-wise, and the trailer was enough to give it a shot. Fritto's voice is good too
But why is he so turquoise and yellow? Who approved of that color scheme and why? If I could take a guess, I'd say people would complain less, if the character designs were less weird. That's the only thing that gives me a bad vibe about the material. You can make a "kiddy" show without being this weird xD It looks watchable. The trailer didn't even seem overly childish. But it might be the kind of show where you should start watching after a few episodes have aired |

Your "evolve" and the "evolve" they mentioned in this series is quite different, honestly.
Not exactly stunning or something, but it's enough to peak me lot of interest. However I still hold my opinion is that the character designs kinda make me feel like I can't take the PV as serious as it should, aside from the main chars. Quote:
And where were all that "smart phone control" and "card game Gundam" coming from, I wonder .

People, calm the fu*k down! This show is not meant for your 30yo ass, so just calm down.
I'm not going to watch this and neither are you, so why all this whining? And as for the new Gundam show, I think Bandai finally has a Gundam with the potential to be a hit in the west and on an international level. Just a bit of clever marketing and I can see how this can work.
