Best case scenario. So far however, the anime isn't one which chooses the best case scenarios so I kinda doubt it'd happen. It would be kinda fun if Reiji and his harem sent Inferno to hell before going off to live their lives though

I myself tried to translate the official summary for ep25 (hey, I was bored). The summary was like created for VN readers. They theoretically mentioned all true endings of the VN there and hinted at none and all. I won't be surprised if they announce the OVA's soon after the series ends (which I hope they will as all endings deserve to be animated IMO).

LoL, that sounds like they are trying to do the original ending they wrote for the Novel. which is pretty much just sticking cerulean sky on top of dusty road. oh well i will still be pleased , Phantom is a great show either way.

Overall, I'm quite pleased with ep24. It gave Mio the spotlight she deserved, and I also liked the conclusion of this episode.

Spoiler for However...:

I'm a bit saddened that they shortened her role in turning Cal around. It was Mio's fearless (a bit reckless-naive, but also courageous) confronting of Cal on her hatred which shook Cal so much that after her outburst of violence, she was tormenting herself with the truth alone deep in the night. There, Mio awoke and found Cal crying quietly, alone. I'd have wished for Mio's inner monologue then to be animated. Her feeling of sorrowful compassion, even towards her tormentor, even though it was mixed with a feeling of helplessness. Essentially, it was Mio who successfully did what Reiji failed to do: Make Cal see what was going on. And this role was shortened in the anime version quite a bit - too bad.

On the plus side, pretty impressive seiyuu work. The gradual morphing of Cal's fake laughter dissolving into sobbing was done really well

Good job from Mio's VA aswell. It's difficult to deliver her growing desperation at the truth (delivered particularly cruelly by Ein) as credibly as she managed to do it. Her hopes and dreams are dissolving in front of her eyes, and it reflects in her voice all too well, a powerful combination with the wonderful background score.

Time to get to the end stretch. The next episode is all about the phantoms.

... and it's really too bad they opted to show Cal's harsh and abused past in favor of rehashing the bombed loft scene. Her background goes a long way in explaining how Cal ended up the way she did and just her loneliness over Reiji isn't enough of a reason for me.

Man, I must have rewatched the preview dozens of times to try to decipher what ending the anime would possibly take, and I'm inclined to think it really will be an AOE, or at least the major battle will be quite original since I think the location isn't going to be the same.

Enjoyed ep24, as usual. Good voice work from Takagaki Ayahi (Ein) and Sawashiro Miyuki (Cal) again, but the voice that really did it for me was Koshimizu Ami as Mio. Out.standing.

But even though I haven't played the game, I too feel, with Soraya21, that we need more to explain why Cal feels so strongly. Perhaps there are flashbacks to come, as we approach the battle(s). Once again, though, I have to say what a great job Sawashiro Miyuki did with the earlier Cal. There was always something artificial about her, something forced -- as someone with such a terrible past might be, desperate to find someone she could love and depend on.
