In my case it was because I watched the OVAs that I decided to watch the movie... And read the manga (Which by the way is a different story so you can read it before watching the movie without spoiling yourself)
I'm still waiting for the second Memoir OVA...

Nice, glad I picked this up. The drama so sometimes overblown but I do think overall it was very good. Miu started out as a b***h but eventually got better, too bad for Nanase though. What was that other guy for? He barely did anything
Glad I watch until after the credits, at least they gave us some closure to chew on. |

It was a pretty sweet movie, although not entirely what I expected. Miu made it a lot of darker and more disturbing, I thought it would be a sappy love story at the beginning.
Anyway, near the end I was pretty disappointed, because Spoiler for w:

Question to all Novel readers of Bungaku Shoujo out there!
Wow! I love this series! It is awesome! I was touched by this awesome series! I read the mangas, watch the ovas, and now the movie. Lol I didnt know the order to watch it. Oh well, I love the movie! Touko X Konoha FTW! All the WAY!
By the way, guys or gals who have read the novels, please spoil me (and the rest of us) if the novels ending makes it clear who Konoha ends up with? Spoiler for Movie Ending:

I finally got round to watching it all. I thought the film was okay but to be honest it was irritating what little they were giving at the start and it was kinda boring. It did get better as I went a long though. The Memoire's were great, perhaps even better than the film. That single OVA though was kinda pointless...
I'm actually surprised there are people that hate Miu. Honestly I couldn't find it in myself to hate her one bit. Just pity her. That poor girl needs help, not hate. Which is why it's a little strange how an epiphany therapy in the film suddenly cures her deep-seated psychological problems. Where are all the real therapists when you need them? I did manage to hate her mother though... And in the end they still never explained what the deal was with Touko and why she ate books. Wouldn't that cause massive stomach problems?

I would recommend watching the first (Touko) and third (Nanase) memoire's before moving on to the film. And then watch the second memoire last. (Kanon's right. It does spoil a lot of the film's revelations)
I think if i watched it in that order, I would've enjoyed it a lot more.

The movie's been sitting on my hard drive for ages, but I watched it and the Memoires today in the order you suggested. Definitely glad I read your post first - watching all the Memoires either before or after the movie just wouldn't have been as satisfying. Thank you!
