The member is same through S1 to S3, yes.
For me, its telling enough there is intent to fix the quality following the change of studio (one reason why I love DAL anime staffs and happy to know they do it through S1 to S3) but it won't make it for first episode so they leave it with minor fix to make it good at least for pilot episode (which should be on IMS workdesk as DAL III is on progress since its announcement long ago). Now I'm looking forward for the BD ver; quality increase should be done for first episode as well unless they deemed it unnecessary.

this new target is not that bad
after all, for myself, I think best targets so far are only Kurumi and Kotori.. the rest are kinda boring and weak in term of how it is solved Natsumi is challenging Shido's feeling We know that the spirits recognized Shido in their own special way.. but Shido might find some difficulties because he didn't show any strong affection toward one or two spirits but spread them equally Although I think Shido would be able to recognize the fake by kissing every single of them looking forward for Natsumi's "Ara ara" version to come back again |

I'd say they still use some of it; what I pointed is simply the drawing for animation material.
While the change is not sudden its not a planned ones, redrawing all can be inefficient and costly. First episode IMO tell that they still use some from IMS, at least polished it enough for first episode because deadline reason you said due to change of studio. Coloring itself is never an issue for me, might be good given I feel DAL S1 by AIC is less colorful despite the saturation.

I see, so thats why the quality made a huge jump, not only the colors but also the way they're drawn are different from ep 1 to this now, hope it'll get better from here on out, ep 1 was such a letdown but watching ep 2 was such a pleasant surprise.
I love how angry Touka was drawn, adorable and scary at the same time, the colors blend in so well. Also like the OP sequence, I'm not an LN reader so I dont know who those backs are but I love how the 1st line with everyone facing us were the ones he conquered and made friends with while the next black background had the future spirits he'll tangle with. |

I certainly agree that its getting better though. I still think I prefer IMS to it, mind, but the quality has improved considerably, and the visuals for I Swear may be my favourite opening overall so far. I'm really looking forward to seeing how things go from here.

I read on reddit that Apparently JC staff outsourced (co-produce) this episode to another studio called ENGI (new studio.) A chinese company called 旭阳动画 did some touch up on the animation as well(quote taken from reddit).
Spoiler for Images from credits:
Maybe it's the reason why animation in Episode 2 looks quite good.

I think the reason for episode 2 stand better is still the same. JC Staff didn't make it for first episode, now they already managed it, they can deliver it on better quality.

And ever since watching the new OP.......well, when I first heard Sweet ARMS’ new song I thought it sounded awesome but wasn’t sure it worked as an action-y theme. After seeing the OP, I can’t stop watching it over and over again.

Great, now that I love the OP theme, i can’t wait for 10 weeks to go by so we can hear it in instrumental in the final episode. The OP themes have been godly in instrumental.

I didn't find much clues about who Natsumi is impersonating. Yuzuru seemed to act a bit out of character at first, but I realized that could have been because it was probably the first time she was alone with Shido.
Not sure if that was the intention but the Wescott scene was pretty funny. Yep, no hands raised.
