Why does this feel and look like a child cartoon?

This is not the first Gundam aimed for young audience ages between 13-15.

I am really disappointed that they ripped off too many things from previous Gundams, especially ZZ Gundam.
I think they are desperate for new audience, but I think betraying older audience is stupid. At least GS/GSD didn't do that.

And I really think we have no right to comment until the series airs.

Not confirmed. The cleaned-up linearts are fanmade. It says it right on the bottom.

Considering they've said time and time before that the only thing in this show targeted specifically at children are the character designs, how about watching the show first before deciding that they've "betrayed" you

Contradiction much?

It's already said that AGE is aiming at family, not children. It's going to be a bridge between the parent and the children generation so they have something to talk to each other.

Please stop bashing the show that's not even aired yet with baseless accuse like that.

I definitely will see the first few episodes, but I am not sure the latter.

The machine is a certain part for Gundams. Without Gundam and Zaku/Gurf/Dom
and etc, there is no Gundam scene. Gundam AGE shows no innovations, just ripoffs.
It certainly is not the stuffs for the older audience.

For some reasons like that, I guessed I do agree what Ring of Gundam implied,
that is to let Gundam take a real break. I also guessed it will be there soon
after all these craps fall in pieces.

Oh so you're saying a Gundam series isn't a Gundam series without UC mobile suits and their Seed Destiny rip-offs?

Classy.

Oh hi, UC elitist.
I guess Titus is no innovation either, just a ripoff. The "alien" is not innovation either, just a ripoff. Funny thing that there are people who calling it's "unnecessary change that haven't seen before which will ruined Gundam". Lovely.

Who are the "older audiences" we're talking about here? People who lives in the past, and won't buy anything that's not UC? Or people who have been watching Gundam since 0079 and still support it now?
If it's the former, then I hope they just drop them altogether. People like that doesn't help the franchise.

Btw, I feel like most of UC elitist nowaday are just on the bandwagon because it's cool to love old things and hate new things. Most don't even watch Gundam before 2000, and talk like they know it all. I've been watching Gundam since 1995, and I'm still love Gundam for what it provided, be it's Wing, X, God, Seed, Turn A, 00 or even older UC stuff like 08th MS, 0083 (GSD is a disaster, and I consider SRW Z canon, so yeah, deal with it).

In short, it's always like this:
>Change
"Why can't they stick with old things?"
>Don't change
"Baw, no innovation"

It's starting to look that way. At the very least, those are the preliminary designs.

In fact, the characters and the mechanical designs of Gundam AGE are much worse
than the first Gundam. We are talking about a business in which, the producer
makes things that are inferior to its first generations, and they wants us
to buy those inferior ones.

Perhaps the meaning of existence lies within their will to fight.
People feel a sense of accomplishment through battle.
And it’s also a fact that the ones actually fighting are never perceived as being tainted.

How are the designs for the AGE mecha worse than the designs of 0079? If anything, the designs for AGE are improvements over the older ones.

Seriously, if you don't like it, that's fine. But it sounds like your trying to find any little thing wrong with the show just to bash it unnecessarily, and that's not what this thread is for.

A love rival? Or a Lala expy?

Whatever the case, it looks like she going to play a role in the first few episodes. Speaking of, it looks like the Colony attack it going to last more than a single episode this time round ...

So then you agree that SEED Destiny ripped off the zeon Zaku, Gouf ,and Dom right?

If you don't like it, then that's fine and there's nothing wrong with that. But there others who do and the reason Sunrise keeps making them is because there are people who like and support it. Just because you think it's inferior and not worth your time doesn't mean everybody else does. Sunrise is just trying to try and please some audiences. Not everybody believes the new series are "inferior" to the new ones, even if you do.

You're also making it sound like Sunrise has left UC in the dust for years, which isn't really the case at all. Besides they are making Origins, that should be something new that fits more towards your tastes.

^ It's not "Origin" it's "Gundam the Origin".

Does it really matter? We know what he's referring to, similar to how we know what "SEED", "SEED Destiny", "00", "Unicorn", "ZZ", "V", "X", etc. mean.
